Associated with the manual gearbox, this system suggests when to change up to obtain optimum fuel consumption.
Scented air freshener

Monitoring
On switching on, the dial needles go to the extent of their travel then return to 0. A. With the ignition on, the fuel gauge bars for the fuel remaining should light up. B. With the engine running, the associated low level warning lamp should switch off. C. With the ignition on, the oil level indicator should display "OIL OK" for a few seconds. If the levels are not correct, top up the level
which is low.

Petrol - Diesel instrument panels, manual or automatic gearbox Provided with permanent back-lighting, the instrument panel groups together the vehicle's dials and indic ator and warning lamps.
1. Rev counter. Indicates the speed of rotation of the engine (x 1 000 rpm).
2. Vehicle speed. Indicates the current speed of the moving vehicle (km/h or mph). 3. Engine coolant temperature. Indicates the temperature of the engine coolant liquid (° Celsius).
Dials
7. Lighting rheostat button. Adjusts the level of the instrument and controls illumination and the interior mood lighting.
4. Display screen.5. Fuel level. Indicates the quantity of fuel remaining in
the tank. 6. Display management button Alternates display between range and trip mileage recorder. Ser vicing information. Resets the selected function to zero (trip distance recorder or ser vice indicator).

Visual indicators informing the driver that a system is in operation (operation or deactivation indicator lamps) or of the occurrence of a fault (warning lamp).
Indicator and warning lamps
When the ignition is switched on
Certain warning lamps come on for a few seconds when the vehicle's ignition is switched on. When the engine is started, these same warning lamps should switch off. If they remain on, before moving off, refer to the information on the warning lamp concerned.
Associated warnings
The switching on of cer tain warning lamps may be accompanied by an audible signal and a message on the multifunction screen.
The warning lamps may come on continuously (fixed) or flash. Cer tain warning lamps may come on in two different modes. Only by relating the type of lighting to the operating status of the vehicle can it
be ascer tained whether the situation is normal or whether a fault has occurred.
The passenger airbag system operation lamp stays on for about a minute after switching on the ignition, even after the engine has star ted.

Operation indicator lamps
If one of the following indicator lamps comes on, this confirms that the corresponding system has come into o peration.
Warning lampis onCauseAction/Obser vations
Left-hand direction indicator flashing with buzzer. The lighting stalk is pushed down.
Right-hand direction indicator flashing with buzzer. The lighting stalk is pushed up.
Sidelamps fixed. The lighting stalk is in the "Sidelamps" position. Turn the control to the desired position.
Dipped beam headlamps fixed. The lighting stalk is in the "Dipped beam headlamps" position. Turn the control to the desired position.
Main beam headlamps fixed. The lighting stalk is pulled towards you. Pull the stalk to return to dipped beam headlamps.
Front foglamps fixed. The front foglamps are switched on. Turn the ring on the stalk rear wards twice to switch off the front foglamps.
Rear foglamps fixed. The rear foglamps are switched on. Turn the ring on the stalk rear wards to switch off the rear foglamps.

With the engine running, when the needle is: - in zone A , the temperature is correct,
- in zone B , the temperature is too high; the central STOP warning lamp and the maximum temperature warning lamp 1light up in red, accompanied by an audible signal and a message on the multifunction screen. You must stop as soon as it is safe to do so. Wait a few minutes before switching off the engine. Consult a CITROËN dealer.
Coolant temperature

After driving for a few minutes, the temperature and pressure in the cooling system increase.
To top up the level:  wait for the engine to cool down,  unscrew the cap by two turns to allow the pressure to drop,  when the pressure has dropped, remove the cap,  top up the level to the "MA X" mark.

Instruments and controls
System which measures the total distance travelled by the vehicle during its life. The total and trip distances are displayed for thir ty seconds when the ignition is switched off, when the driver's door is opened and when the vehicle is locked or unlocked.
Total distance recorder
System which measures a distance travelled during a day or other period until it is reset to zero by the driver.  With the ignition on, press the button until zeros appear.
Trip distance recorder
System for manual adjustment of the brightness of the instruments and controls in relation to the exterior brightness.
Lighting rheostat
Activation
When the lighting is on:  press the button to change the brightness
of the instruments and controls,  when the level of brightness required is reached, release the button.
Deactivation
When the lighting is off, or in day mode on vehicles fitted with LED lamps, pressing the button does not have any effect.
