Lane departure warning system
System which, using a camera which
recognises solid or broken lines, detects the
involuntary crossing of longitudinal traffic lane markings on the ground.
To provide safe driving, the camera analyses the
image then, if the driver's attention drops, triggers
a warning if the vehicle drifts over a lane marking (speed higher than 50 mph (80 km/h)).
This system is par ticularly useful on motor waysand main roads.
Activation
)
Press this button, the indicator
lamp comes on.

The lane depar ture warning systemcannot, in any circumstances, replacethe need for vigilance and responsibility on the par t of the driver.
Deactivation
You are warned by the vibration of the driver's seat cushion:
- on the right-hand side, if the marking on theground has been crossed on the right,
- on the left-hand side, if the marking on the ground has been crossed on the left.
No warning is transmitted while the direction indicator is active and for approximately20 seconds after the direction indicator is switched off.
Detection - alert
Operatin
g fault

The detection may be impeded:

- if the markings on the ground are worn,

- if there is little contrast between themarkings on the ground and the roadsurface.

- if the windscreen is dir ty,-in certain severe weather conditions:fog, heavy rain, snow, bright sunlightor direct exposure to the sun (low sun, leaving a tunnel, ...) and shade.

)
Press this button again, the
indicator lamp goes off. In the event of a fault, the indicator lamp in the
button flashes.
Contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
workshop.
The status of the s

switched on automatically, without any action
on the par t of the driver, when a low level of
external light is detected or in certain cases of activation of the windscreen wipers.
As soon as the brightness returns to a sufficient
level or after the windscreen wipers are switched
off, the lamps are switched off automaticall

Association with the automatic "Guide-me-home" lighting

Association with the automatic lighting provides
the "guide-me-home" lighting with the following
additional options after the ignition isswitched off:

- selection of the lighting duration of 15, 30or 60 seconds in the vehicle parameters in
the vehicle configuration menu,

- automatic activation of "guide-me-home"lighting when automatic illumination of
headlamps is in operation.

Operating fault

In the event of a malfunctionof the sunshine sensor,
the lighting comes on, this
warning lamp is displayed in the instrumentpanel and/or a message appears in the screen,
accompanied by an audible signal.
Contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
wor
kshop.
In fog or snow, the sunshine sensor may detect sufficient light. In this case, thelighting will not come on automatically. Do not cover the sunshine sensor, coupled with the rain sensor andlocated in the centre of the windscreen behind the rear view mirror; theassociated functions would no longer be controlled.

(pull the stalk beyond the
stiff point) to temporarily deactivate the system(pause), this changes the headlamps to dipped beam.
)Flash the headlamps
to reactivate the system.

The system will be operational as soon as you have exceeded 15 mph(25 km/h).If the speed drops below 9 mph (15 km/h),the system changes to dipped beam.

Parking lamps
Side markers for the vehicle by illumination of
the sidelamps on the traffic side only.)Within one minute of switching off the
ignition, operate the lighting control stalk
up or down depending on the traffic side(for example: when parking on the left; lighting control stalk upwards; the righthand sidelamps are on).
This is confirmed by an audible signal and
illumination of the corresponding direction
indicator warning lamp in the instrument panel.
To switch off the parking lamps, return the
lighting control stalk to the middle position or switch on the ignition. Temporarily keeping the dipped beam
headlamps on a
fter the vehicle's ignition has been switched off makes the exit of the vehicle's
occupants easier when the light is poor.
Manual guide-me-home
li

Switching on
)
Within one minute after switching of the
ignition, "flash" the headlamps using the lighting stalk.) A further "headlamp flash" switches thefunction off.

Switching off

The manual guide-me-home lighting switches
off automatically after a set time (this time is
pro
grammable in the configuration menu).

The system may suffer interference or not work correctly:

- under conditions of poor visibility(for example, snowfall, heavy rain or thick fog, ...),

- if the windscreen is dir ty, misted or obscured (by a sticker, ...) in front of the camera,

- if the vehicle is facing highly reflective signs.

The system is not able to detect:

- road users that do not have their own lighting, such as pedestrians,

- road users whose lighting isobscured, such as vehicles running behind a safety barrier (on a motor way, for example),

- road users at the top or bottomof a steep slope, on twisty roads, on crossroads.

Direction indicators
)Lower the lighting control stalk fully when moving to the left.)Raise the lighting control stalk fully when moving to the right.
"Motorway" function
Move the stalk briefly upwards or downwards,
without going beyond the point of resistance;
the corresponding direction indicators will flash 3 times.

If you forget to cancel the direction indicators for more than twenty seconds, the volume of theaudible signal will increase if the speedis above 40 mph (60 km/h).

Hazard warning lamps

Press the button, the direction indicators flash.
They can operate with the ignition off.
Automatic operation of
hazard warnin
g lamps
When braking in an emergency, depending on
the rate of deceleration, as well as when the ABS regulation is invoked or in the event of animpact, the hazard warning lamps come on
automatically.
They switch off automatically the first time you accelerate.)You can also switch them off by pressingthe button.

Intelligent traction control
s
ystem ("Snow motion")
Your vehicle has a system to help driving onsnow: intelligent traction control. This system detects situations of difficult surface adhesion that could make it difficult to move off or make progress on deep fresh snow
or compacted snow.In these situations, the intelligent traction control
limits the amount of wheel slip to provide the best traction and trajectory control
for your vehicle.

Operation

Anti-lock braking system (ABS)
and electronic brake force
distribution
(EBFD)
In emergency braking, press very firmly without releasing the pressure.

When changing wheels (tyres and rims),make sure that these are approved for your vehicle.
Normal operation of the ABS may make itself felt by slight vibrations of the brake pedal. When this warnin
g lamp comes on,
accompanied by an audible signal
and a message, it indicates that
there is a fault with the ABS, which
could cause loss of control of the vehicle whenbraking.
When this warnin
g lamp comes on, coupled with the STOPwarning lamp,
accompanied by an audible signal
and a message, it indicates that
th
ere is a fault with the electronic brake forcedistribution (EBFD), which could cause loss of control of the vehicle when braking.
You must stop as soon as it is safe to do so. In both cases, contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

The use of snow tyres is stronglyrecommended on sur faces offering low
levels of adhesion.
