Parking assistance
When reversing the vehicle, prox-
imity sensors located in the rear
bumper will inform you, by means
of a modulated audible signal, of
the presence of any obstacle within
the detection zone behind the vehi-
cle.
When engaging reverse gear, a
short audible signal confirms to
you that the system is active:
- as the vehicle approaches the ob-
stacle, the audible signal repeats
more and more rapidly,
- when the obstacle is less than 20 centimetres from the rear of the
vehicle, the signal becomes con-
tinuous.
However, the proximity sensors
cannot detect obstacles situated
immediately below the level of the
bumper. Objects such as spikes or
marker posts or similar may be de-
tected at the beginning of the ma-
noeuvre, but may no longer be
sensed when the vehicle gets
close.
Note: This system can be deacti-
vated by your CITROËN Dealer if
you so wish.

On engaging reverse gear, a short sound signal
followed by a long sound signal indicates a malfunction. Contact the CITROËN network.
Detection zone
Deactivation
Moving the gear lever to neutral deactivates the system.
Note: The system is deactivated automatically if a trail er or caravan is attached to the vehicle. For fitting a towbar, you are advised to contact yo ur nearest CITROËN dealership or authorised repairer. Remove the towing ball if you are no longer towing, so that it does not interfere with the functioning of the proximity sensors.
Advice : in bad weather and during the winter months, make sure that the sensors are not obstructed by mud, ice or snow.
