Headlights On With Wipers (Available With
Automatic Headlights Only)
When this feature is active, the headlights will turn on
approximately 10 seconds after the wipers are turned on
if the headlight switch is placed in the AUTO position. In
addition, the headlights will turn off when the wipers are
turned off if they were turned on by this feature.
NOTE:The Headlights On with Wipers feature can be
turned on or off using the Uconnect® System, refer to
“Uconnect® Settings” in “Understanding Your Instru-
ment Panel” for further information.
TILT/TELESCOPING STEERING COLUMN
This feature allows you to tilt the steering column
upward or downward. It also allows you to lengthen or
shorten the steering column. The tilt/telescoping control
handle is located below the steering wheel at the end of
the steering column.
To unlock the steering column, push the control handle
downward. To tilt the steering column, move the steering
wheel upward or downward as desired. To lengthen or
shorten the steering column, pull the steering wheel out-
ward or push it inward as desired. To lock the steering
column in position, pull the control handle upward until
fully engaged.

WARNING!
Do not adjust the steering column while driving.
Adjusting the steering column while driving or driv-
ing with the steering column unlocked could cause
the driver to lose control of the vehicle. Be sure the
steering column is locked before driving your ve-
hicle. Failure to follow this warning may result in
serious injury or death.
HEATED STEERING WHEEL — IF EQUIPPED
The steering wheel contains a heating element that helps
warm your hands in cold weather. The heated steering
wheel has only one temperature setting. Once the heated
steering wheel has been turned on it will operate for up
to 80 minutes before automatically shutting off. The
heated steering wheel can shut off early or may not turn
on when the steering wheel is already warm.The heated steering wheel can be turned on and off using
the Uconnect® System.
Touch the “Controls” soft-key then touch the “Heated
Wheel” soft-key to turn on the heated steering wheel.
Press the “Heated Wheel” soft-key a second time to turn
the heated steering wheel off.

NOTE:The engine must be running for the heated
steering wheel to operate. Vehicles Equipped With Remote Start
On models that are equipped with remote start, the
heated steering wheel can be programmed to come on
during a remote start. Refer to “Remote Starting System
— If Equipped” in “Things To Know Before Starting Your
Vehicle” for further information.

Persons who are unable to feel pain to the skin
because of advanced age, chronic illness, diabetes,
spinal cord injury, medication, alcohol use, exhaus-
tion, or other physical conditions must exercise
care when using the steering wheel heater. It may
cause burns even at low temperatures, especially if
used for long periods.

•Do not place anything on the steering wheel that
insulates against heat, such as a blanket or steering
wheel covers of any type and material. This may
cause the steering wheel heater to overheat.
ELECTRONIC SPEED CONTROL — IF EQUIPPED
When engaged, the Electronic Speed Control takes over
accelerator operations at speeds greater than 25 mph
(40 km/h).
The Electronic Speed Control buttons are located on the
right side of the steering wheel.

REAR WINDOW FEATURES
Rear Window Wiper/Washer
The rear window wiper/washer control is located on the
left side of the steering column.Rotate the switch upward to the first detent
position for rear wiper operation.
Rotate the switch upward past the first detent
position to activate the rear washer. The washer
pump will continue to operate as long as the switch is
held. Upon release, the wiper will cycle three times
before returning to the set position.

information by pushing the switches mounted on the
steering wheel. The EVIC consists of the following:

Turn Menu OFF
Select from Main Menu using the DOWN button. Push-
ing the SELECT button blanks the menu display. Pushing
any one of the four steering wheel buttons brings the
menu back.
Uconnect® SETTINGS
The Uconnect® system uses a combination of soft and
hard keys located on the center of the instrument panel
that allows you to access and change the customer
programmable features.
Hard-Keys
Hard-Keys are located on the left and right side of the
Uconnect® 4.3 screen. In addition, there is a Scroll/Enter
control knob located on the right side of the Climate
Controls in the center of the instrument panel. Turn thecontrol knob to scroll through menus and change settings
(i.e., 30, 60, 90), press the center of the control knob one or
more times to select or change a setting (i.e., ON, OFF).
Soft-Keys
Soft-Keys are accessible on the Uconnect® Touchscreen.
Customer Programmable Features —
Uconnect® 4.3 Settings
In this mode the Uconnect® system allows you to access
programmable features that may be equipped such as
Display, Clock, Safety/Assistance, Lights, Doors &
Locks, Heated Seats, Engine Off Operation, Compass
Settings, Audio, Phone/Bluetooth® and SIRIUS Setup
through hard-keys and soft-keys.

display. When this feature is selected, and the headlight
switch is in the AUTO position, the headlights will turn on
approximately 10 seconds after the wipers are turned on.
The headlights will also turn off when the wipers are turned
off if they were turned on by this feature. To make your
selection, touch the “Headlights With Wipers” soft-key and
select “ON” or “OFF.” Then touch the back arrow soft-key.
•Auto High Beams “SmartBeams™”
Touch the “Auto High Beams” soft-key to change this
display. When this feature is selected, the high beam head-
lights will deactivate automatically under certain conditions.
To make your selection, touch the “Auto High Beams”
soft-key and select “ON” or “OFF.” Then touch the back
arrow soft-key. Refer to “Lights/SmartBeam™ — If
Equipped” in “Understanding The Features Of Your Ve-
hicle” for further information.
•Daytime Running Lights — If Available
Touch the “Daytime Running Lights” soft-key to change
this display. When this feature is selected, the headlights
will turn on whenever the engine is running. To make
your selection, touch the “Daytime Running Lights”
soft-key and select “ON” or “OFF.” Then touch the back
arrow soft-key.
• Steering Directed Lights — If Equipped
Touch the “Steering Directed Lights” soft-key to change
this display. When this feature is selected, the headlights
turn relative to a change in direction of the steering
wheel. To make your selection, touch the “Steering
Directed Lights” soft-key and select “ON” or ‘OFF.” Then
touch the back arrow soft-key.

showing that setting has been selected. Touch the back
arrow soft-key to return to the previous menu. Refer to “Lights/SmartBeam™ — If Equipped” in “Understand-
ing The Features Of Your Vehicle” for further informa-
tion.

When this feature is selected, the headlights will turn on
whenever the engine is running. To make your selection,
