Autolamps
When the lighting control is set toposition AUTO the dipped beamheadlamps will switch on and offautomatically depending on theambient light.

Direction indicators
If the lever is tapped up or down, thedirection indicators will flash threetimes.

Autowipers
Move the lever up one position.

WARNING
Do not operate the washer formore than 10 seconds at a time,and never when the reservoir isempty.
While the lever is pulled towards thesteering wheel the washer will workin conjunction with the wipers.
Once the wash/wipe cycle iscompleted, the wipers will pause andthen perform one more wipe to clearthe windscreen.
After releasing the lever, the wipersoperate for a short time.

Do not operate the washer formore than 10 seconds at a time,and never when the reservoir isempty.
Note:On some models, to preventthe washer fluid reservoir frombecoming empty too quickly, theheadlamp washer will not beactivated with every press of thebutton. For a period of ten minutesafter activation, the washer will onlybe activated again with every fourthpress of the button.
The headlamp washers operatewhen the exterior lights are switchedon and the windscreen washer isused. The system is supplied fromthe washer fluid reservoir.
CHECKING THE WIPER
BLADES
Run the tip of your fingers over theedge of the blade to check forroughness.
Clean the wiper blade lips with waterapplied with a soft sponge.
CHANGING THE WIPER
BLADES
Windscreen wiper blades
Lift the wiper arm. Position the wiperblade at a right angle to the wiperarm. Remove the blade from the armand replace it.
Rear window wiper blades
Lift the wiper arm and position thewiper blade at a right angle to thewiper arm. To remove, press theretaining clip, disengage the wiperblade and pull it off the arm in theopposite direction.

CAUTION
Prolonged use of the parkinglamps will discharge the battery.
Switch off the ignition.
Push the lighting control inwards andturn it to position F.
Main and dipped beam
Pull the lever fully towards thesteering wheel to switch betweenmain and dipped beam.
Headlamp flasher
Pull the lever slightly towards thesteering wheel.
Home safe lighting
Switch the ignition off and pull thedirection indicator lever towards thesteering wheel to switch theheadlamps on. You will hear a shorttone. The headlamps will go offautomatically after 3 minutes with anydoor open, or 30 seconds after thelast door has been closed.
With all doors closed, but within the30 second delay, opening any doorwill result in the 3 minute timerstarting again.
The home safe lights can becancelled by either pulling thedirection indicator lever towards thesteering wheel again or by turningthe ignition switch ON.

Note:If you have switchedautolamps on, you can only switchthe main beam on when autolampshas switched the headlamps on.
The headlamps will come on and gooff automatically depending on theambient light.
FRONT FOG LAMPS
WARNING
Only use the front fog lampswhen visibility is considerablyrestricted by fog, snow or rain.
Note:You cannot switch the frontfog lamps on if you have switchedautolamps on.
REAR FOG LAMPS
WARNING
Do not use the rear fog lampswhen it is raining or snowing andvisibility is more than 50 metres.
Note:You cannot switch the rearfog lamps on if you have switchedautolamps on.
