performance, use “Regular” unleaded gasoline with a pump (R+M)/2 octane
rating of 87. We do not recommend the
use of gasolines labeled as “Regular” that
are sold with octane ratings of 86 or lower in high altitude areas. Use only

Focus requires that your tires be
properly inflated. The recommended
inflation pressure is found on the Tire Label or the Safety Compliance
Certification Label located near the front
door latch on the edge of the driver’s door At least once a month and before long trips, inspect each tire and check the
tire pressure. Don’t forget the spare (if
equipped). Air pressure should be checked
when the tires are cool. Inflate all tires to
the inflation pressure recommended by
Ford Motor Company. As an added safety
feature, your vehicle has been equipped
with a tire pressure monitoring system
(TPMS) that illuminates a low tire pressure
warning light
when one or more of your
tires is significantly under-inflated. Refer to
the Tires, Wheels and Loading chapter in
the Owner’s Guide for further information.
teMPorAry MoBility kit (if equipped) Your
vehicle may be equipped with a temporary
mobility kit located in the spare tire well in
the trunk. The temporary mobility kit
consists of an air compressor to reinflate
the tire and a sealing compound in a
canister that will seal most punctures
caused by nails or similar objects. This kit
will provide a temporary seal allowing you
to drive your vehicle up to 120 miles (200
km) at a maximum speed of 50 mph (80
km/h). Do not attempt to repair punctures
larger than 1/4 inch (6.4 mm) or damage
to the tire’s sidewall. The tire may not
completely seal. If you use the Tire
Mobility Kit (TMK), the sealant compound
in the canister is to be used for one tire
only. See your Ford authorized dealer for
additional replacement sealant canisters.
