The moonroof has a key-of f delay
f unction. You can still open and close
the moonroof f or up to 10 minutes
after you turn off the ignition switch.
The key-of f delay f unction cancels as
soon as you open either f ront door.
You must then turn the ignition
switch to the ON (II) position to
operate the moonroof .To apply the parking brake, pull the
lever up f ully. To release it, pull up
slightly, push the button, and lower
the lever. The parking brake
indicator in the instrument panel
should go out when the parking
brake is f ully released with the
engine running (seepage).60

Opening or closing the
moonroof on someone’s hands
or fingers can cause serious
injury.
Make sure all hands and fingers
are clear of the moonroof
before opening or closing it.
If you try to open the moonroof in
below-f reezing temperatures, or when
it is covered with snow or ice, you can
damage the moonroof panel or motor.

If you drive without f ully releasing
the parking brake, the beeper
sounds continuously.
To use a sun visor, pull it down. You
can also use a sun visor at the side
window. Remove the support rod
f rom the clip, and swing the sun

Be caref ul when you are using the
beverage holders. A spilled liquid
that is very hot can scald you or your
passengers. Liquid can also spill
f rom the door pocket beverage
holders when you close the doors.
Use only resealable containers in the
door pockets.
Spilled liquids can damage the
upholstery, carpeting, and electrical
components in the interior.
These sockets are intended to supply
power f or 12 volt DC accessories
that are rated 120 watts or less (10
amps). None of the sockets will
power an automotive type cigarette
lighter element. When more than
one socket is being used, the
combined power rating of the
accessories should be 120 watts or
less (10 amps).

pull up on the right lever and lif t the
armrest.
To close, lower the armrest, and
push it down until it latches.Youcanputsmallitemsinthetray
located in the console compartment
lid. To use the tray, pull up on the
lef t lever and lif t up the armrest.
Thetrayintheconsolecompartment
has a coin holder.To open the center CD pocket, push-
down on the center of the lid to
unlatch it. It will swing open
automatically.
To close it, push the lid down until it
latches.

handle to the lef t. Close it with a f irm
push. Lock or unlock the glove box
with the master key.
To open the sunglasses holder, push
on the f ront edge. Make sure the
holder is closed while you are driving.
The glove box light is on when the
parking lights are on.

There are two ceiling lights on the
f ront of the ceiling.
Push the light covers to turn the
lights on and of f .
The courtesy light comes on when
youturntheparkinglightson.To
adjust its brightness, turn the Select/
Reset knob on the instrument panel.
The ceiling light has a three-position
switch; ON, Door Activated, and
OFF. In the Door Activated (center)
position, the light comes on when
you:
After all doors are closed tightly, the
light dims slightly, then f ades out in
about 30 seconds. The courtesy lights in the f ront
doors come on when you open any
door. The light around the ignition
switch only comes on when you open
the driver’s door. Af ter you close the
door, the ignition switch light stays
on f or several seconds.
Open any door.
Unlock the doors with the key or
the remote transmitter.
