Turn on the spotlight by pushing the button next to each light. Push the
button again to turn it off. You can
use the spotlights at all times.
Courtesy Lights

Your car has a courtesy light in the
ignition switch. The ignition switch
light comes on whenever you open either door. It remains on, then fades

unlock the door with the key, the
lock tab on the driver's door, or the master door lock switch. If you
relock the driver's door or close the driver's door with the key in the
ignition switch, the lights turns off immediately. Otherwise, the light
remains on, then fades out in about 10 seconds.
If you keep the door open, the ceiling
light (with the switch in the center
position) will turn off after three minutes when the key is not in the
ignition switch.

On Type SH

Your vehicle also has a courtesy light in each door. Each door light comes
on when the door is opened, and
goes out when the door is closed
tightly.

Fuses

Checking and Replacing Fuses

If something electrical in your
vehicle stops working, the first thing you should check for is a blown fuse. Determine from the chart on pages 248 and 249, or the diagram on the
fuse box lid, which fuse or fuses control that component. Check those
fuses first, but check all the fuses
before deciding that a blown fuse is not the cause. Replace any blown
fuses and check the component's
operation.

1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0). Make sure the headlights and
all other accessories are off.
2. Remove the cover from the fuse
box.
3. Check each of the large fuses in
the under-hood fuse box by
looking through the top at the wireinside. Removing these fuses
requires a Phillips-head screw-driver. 4. Check the smaller fuses in the
under-hood fuse box and all the
fuses in the interior fuse box by
pulling out each fuse with the fuse
puller provided in the interior fuse
box.
