If your vehicle is equipped with this feature, you can slide or tilt your sunroof with the sunroof control buttons locatedon the overhead console. The sunroof can only be opened, closed, or tilted when the ignition switch is in the"ON" position.

Auto slide open To use the auto slide feature, press the SLIDE OPEN button on the overheadconsole for more than 1 second. The sunroof will slide all the way open. To stop the sunroof sliding at any point,press any sunroof control button. Manual slide open Press the SLIDE OPEN button on the overhead console for less than 0.5 second. Manual slide close To close the sunroof, press the TILT UP button on the overhead console andhold it until the sunroof is closed. WARNING:
Be careful that someone’s head, hands and body are not trapped by a closing sunroof.B460C01TG-AAT Tilting the Sunroof System Auto tilt up To use the auto tilt feature, press the TILT UP button on the overhead con- sole for more than 1 second. B460E02TG-GAT Resetting the sunroof Whenever the vehicle battery is discon- nected or discharged, you have to reset your sunroof system as follows:
1. Turn the ignition key to the "ON"position.
2. Press the TILT UP button for more than 1 second to tilt up the sunroof completely when the sunroof is fully closed. Then, release the button.
3. Press and hold the TILT UP button once again until the sunroof has returned to the original position of TILT UP after it is raised a little higher than the maximum TILT UP position. Then, release the button.
4. Press and hold the TILT UP button within 5 seconds until the sunroof is operated as follows; TILT DOWN SLIDE OPEN
SLIDE CLOSEThen, release the button.
! CAUTION:
If the sunroof is not reset, it may not operate properly.

WARNING:
o Do not close a sunroof if anyone's hands, arms or body are between the sliding glass and the sunroofsash, as this could result in injury.
o Do not place your head or arms
out of the sunroof opening at anytime.
o While the vehicle is moving, al-
ways keep the head, hands andother parts of the body of all occu- pants away from the roof opening. Otherwise, you could be seriouslyinjured if the vehicle stops sud- denly or if the vehicle is involved in an accident. CAUTION:
o Do not open the sunroof in se- verely cold temperature or when itis covered with ice or snow.
o Periodically remove any dirt that may have accumulated on theguide rails.
o Do not press any sunroof control button longer than necessary.Damage to the motor or systemcomponents could occur.
Manual tilt down To close the sunroof, press the SLIDE OPEN button on the overhead consoleand hold it until the sunroof is closed. NOTE: After washing the car or after there is rain, be sure to wipe off any water that is on the sunroof before operat- ing it.

B480A02MC-GAT Map Light (If Installed) The two map light switches are located on both sides of the front overhead console. Push in the map light switch toturn the light on or off. This light pro- duces a spot beam for convenient use as a map light at night or as a personallight for the driver and the passenger.
OMC025068 o "DOOR" (If Installed) In the "DOOR" position, the map light comes on when any door is openedregardless of the ignition key position and the light goes out after approxi- mately 20 minutes even though thedoor is open. The light goes out gradually after 30 seconds if the door is closed. Howeverif the ignition switch is ON or all doors are locked, map light will turn off even within 30 seconds.
The interior courtesy light switch hasthree positions. The three positionsare: o "DOOR" In the "DOOR" position, the interior courtesy light comes on when any door is opened regardless of the ignition key position and the light goes out afterapproximately 20 minutes even though the door is open. The light goes out gradually after 30 seconds if the door isclosed. However if the ignition switch is ON or all doors are locked, interior light will turn off even within 30 seconds.

o Do not keep objects such as sharp or unsuitable things inside the spectacle case. Such objects can be thrown out in the event of a sudden stop or an accident, pos-sibly injuring the passengers in the vehicle.
o Do not open the spectacle case
while the vehicle is moving. Therear view mirror of the vehicle can be blocked by an open spectaclecase.

o"ON" In the "ON" position, the light stays on at all times.

B510B01FC-GAT Electric Type (If Installed) The outside rearview mirrors can be adjusted to your preferred rear vision, both directly behind the vehicle, and tothe rear of the left and right sides. The remote control outside rearview mirror switch controls the adjustmentsfor both right and left outside mirrors.

1. Move the selecting switch to the
right or left to activate the adjustable mechanism for the corresponding door mirror.
2. Now, adjust mirror angle by depress-
ing the appropriate perimeter switchas illustrated.
CAUTION:
If the mirror control is jammed with ice, do not attempt to break it free using the control handle or by ma- nipulating the face of the mirror. Usean approved spray de-icer (not radia- tor antifreeze) to release the frozen mechanism or move the vehicle to awarm place and allow the ice to melt.

Be careful when judging the size or distance of any object seen in the passenger side rear view mirror. It is a convex mirror with a curvedsurface. Any objects seen in this mirror are closer than they appear.

DAY/NIGHT INSIDE REAR- VIEW MIRROR
B520A01A-AAT Your Hyundai is equipped with a day/ night inside rearview mirror. The "night" position is selected by flipping the tab at the bottom of the mirror toward you.In the "night" position, the glare of headlights of cars behind you is re- duced.
B510C01A-AAT FOLDING THE OUTSIDE REAR- VIEW MIRRORS
To fold the outside rearview mirrors, push them towards the rear.The outside rearview mirrors can be folded rearward for parking in narrow areas. WARNING:
Do not adjust or fold the outside rearview mirrors while the vehicle is moving. This could result in lossof control, and an accident which could cause death, serious injury or property damage.

Applying the hand brake To engage the hand brake, first apply the foot brake and then without press-ing the release button in, pull the hand brake lever up as far as possible. In addition it is recommended that whenparking the vehicle on a gradient, the shift lever should be positioned in the appropriate low gear on manual transaxlevehicles or in the P (Park) position on automatic transaxle vehicles.
!WARNING:
o The transaxle gear shift lever should be in neutral position with the hand brake fully engaged when the vehicle is being transported on a car carrier. During transpor-tation the vehicle should be loaded on a flat deck and not on an incline position of the car carrier.
o Whenever leaving vehicle or park- ing always set the hand brake asfar as possible and fully engagethe vehicle's transaxle into the park position. Vehicles not fully en- gaged in park with the hand brakeset are at risk for moving inadvert- ently and injuring yourself or oth- ers.
CAUTION:
Driving with the hand brake applied will cause excessive brake pad (or lining) and brake rotor wear.
! Releasing the hand brake To release the hand brake, first apply the foot brake and pull up the handbrake lever slightly. Secondly, depress the release button and lower the hand brake lever while holding the button.
HAND BRAKE
Always engage the hand brake before leaving the car. This also turns on the hand brake indicator light when thekey is in the "ON" or "START" position. Before driving away, be sure that the hand brake is fully released and theindicator light is off. B530A03A-DAT
