lated by the total driving distance
and fuel consumption since the last
average fuel economy reset.
• The average fuel economy can be reset both manually and automati
cally.
Manual reset
To clear the average fuel economy
manually, press the OK button (or
RESET button) on the steering wheel
for more than 1 second when the aver
age fuel economy is displayed.
Automatic reset
To automatically reset the average fuel
economy after refueling, select the
“After Refueling” feature in the User
Settings Mode on the LCD display
(Refer to "LCD Display“ in this chapter).
If the “After Refueling” feature is selected, the average fuel economy
will be cleared to zero (), when driv
ing speed exceeds 1km/h, after refuel
ing more than 6 liters.

In case of type A, the digital
speedometer is displayed when
“SPEED” sets “ON” in the cluster.
Pressing the RESET button for more
than 1 second, when the “SPEED”
“OFF” is displayed, the digital
speedometer is displayed.
One time driving information mode
(if equipped)
At the end of each driving cycle, the
Driving Info message is displayed.
This display shows the trip distance
(1), the average fuel economy (2),
and distance to empty (3).
This information is displayed for a
few seconds when you turn off the
ignition, and then goes off automati
cally. The information is calculated
for each ignition cycle. If the estimated remaining vehicle
range is below 1.6 km, the range will
display as "" and a "Low Fuel" warn
ing message (4) will be displayed.

Light
Exterior lights
Lighting control
To operate the lights, turn the knob at
the end of the control lever to one of
the following positions:
(1) OFF position
(2) Parking light position
(3) Headlight position
Headlight position ( )
When the light switch is in the head
light position, the headlights, licenseplate light and instrument panel lights are turned ON.
Information
The ignition switch must be in the ON
position to turn on the headlights.
Parking light position ( )
When the light switch is in the park
ing light position, the parking (posi
tion) light, license plate light and
instrument panel lights are turnedON.

High beam operation
To turn on the high beam headlamp,
push the lever away from you. The
lever will return to its original position.
The high beam indicator will light
when the headlamp high beams are
switched on.
To turn off the high beam headlamp,
pull the lever towards you. The low
beams will turn on. To flash the high beam headlights,
pull the lever towards you, then
release the lever. The high beams
will remain ON as long as you hold
the lever towards you.
Rear fog light (if equipped)
Vehicle with front fog light
To turn on the rear fog light:
Position the light switch in the park
ing light position, turn the light switch
(1) to the front fog light position, and
then turn the light switch (1) to the
rear fog light position.
To turn the rear fog lights off, do one
of the following:
• Turn off the parking light switch.
• Turn the light switch to the rear fog light position again.
• When the light switch is in the parking light position, if you turn off
the front fog light, the rear fog light
will also turn off.

Vehicle without front fog light
To turn on the rear fog light:
Position the light switch in the head
lamp position, and then turn the light
switch (1) to the rear fog light position.
To turn the rear fog lights off, do one
of the following:
• Turn off the headlamp switch.
• Turn the light switch to the rear foglight position again.
Front fog light (if equipped)
Fog lights are used to provide
improved visibility when visibility is
poor due to fog, rain or snow, etc.
1. Turn on the park light.
2. Move the light switch (1) to the front fog light position.
3. To turn off the front fog light, turn the light switch to the front fog light
position again or turn off the park
ing light.
When in operation, the fog lights
consume large amounts of vehicle
electrical power. Only use the fog
lights when visibility is poor.
