2 Kombi - vehicle key adaptation, immobilizer IV
The function “2 Kombi – vehicle key adaptation, immobilizer IV” (Fig.43) is instead used only when the existing keys
have to be adapted to the immobilizer currently in the vehicle. Example: when a customer requests an additional
key.
Only those keys that will be adapted using this procedure can later be used to start the engine. If one of the customer
keys is forgotten, function 2 (key adaptation) must be subsequently launched again and the procedure has to be repeated for all of the keys again.
If the entire complete locks kit has been replaced, it is necessary to give the immobilizer a new identity by
instead selecting “1 Kombi – enable immobilizer / new identity” as indicated in the note ( Fig.45).
The number of keys available will be asked during the key learning procedure (default: 2). Insert each key
in sequence when the tester makes the request.
3 ECU 01 Master - engine control unit 01 enable immobilizer /
4 ECU 11 Slave - engine control unit 01 enable immobilizer
The “3 ECU 01 Master – engine control unit 01 enable immobilizer” and “4 ECU 11 Slave – engine control unit
11 enable immobilizer” functions ( Fig.43) are instead used for replacing engine control units. Carefully follow the
instructions on the screen to complete the procedure.
Exchanging components between one vehicle and another similar vehicle is possible.

5 ECU 01-11 Engine control units regeneration
The function “5 ECU 01-11 Engine control units regeneration” (Fig. 43) has to be used only when there is an
interruption of communication while assigning a new immobilizer identity to the engine control units. In this case, it is possible to launch a regeneration to align the engine ECUs with the Kombi. 6 Kombi - Read measurement value block
To check the measurements displaying the correct code of the control units / keys, there is the guided function “Read measurement value block” in the Kombi ( Fig.43).
This displays whether or not the control units have been correctly coded, if the keys have been adapted and the total
number of keys recognised. If Immo status displays status 6, the immobilizer is coded correctly. The measurements to strictly take into consideration are on the Kombi ( Fig.46):
• channel 21 column 1 and 2
• channel 22 column 1,2,3 and 4
• channel 23 column 1,3 and 4
