This Owner Handbook describes all versions of the LANCIA Delta;
please consider only the information relevant to your version, engine and configuration.

REFUELLING
Petrol engines:exclusively refuel the car with un-
leaded petrol with a RON no lower than 95.
Diesel engines:refuel only with diesel fuel conform-
ing to the European specification EN590.
The use of other products or mixtures may damage the engine
beyond repair and consequently invalidate the warranty due
to the damage caused.
STARTING THE ENGINE
Petrol engines:make sure that the handbrake is en-
gaged, place the gear lever in neutral, fully depress the
clutch without depressing the accelerator, then turn the
ignition key to AV Vand release it as soon as the en-
gine has started.
Diesel engines:turn the ignition key to MARand wait for the
warning lights
Yandmto switch off; turn the ignition key
AVV and release it as soon as the engine starts.
PARKING ON FLAMMABLE MATERIAL
The catalytic converter develops high temperatures
during operation. Do not park the car on grass, dry
leaves, pine needles or other flammable material: fire
hazard.
RESPECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
The car is fitted with a system that allows continuous
diagnosis of the components correlated with emissions
to ensure better respect for the environment.ELECTRICAL ACCESSORIES
If, after buying the car, you decide to add electrical ac-
cessories (that may gradually drain the battery), visit
aLancia Dealership. They can calculate the overall
electrical requirement and check that the car’s elec-
tric system can support the required load.
CODE CARD
Keep the card in a safe place, not in the car. We rec-
ommend that you always carry the electronic code pro-
vided on the CODE card with you, in case you need
to perform an emergency start.
SCHEDULED SERVICING
Correct car maintenance is essential to ensure that the
performance, safety features, environmental friendli-
ness and low running costs are unchanged over the
years.
