3. REGISTER A Bluetooth® PHONE
1Press the “MENU” button on the
Remote Touch.
2Select “Phone” .
zThe “Phone” screen can be displayed by

zIf 5 Bluetooth® devices have already been
registered, a registered device needs to be

4When this screen is displayed, operate
the Bluetooth
® device.
z Search for the navigation system displayed
on the system’s screen using your
Bluetooth
® device, and register the
Bluetooth® device.
For details about operating the Bluetooth®
device, see the manual that comes with it.
z A passcode is not required for SSP (Secure
Simple Pairing) compatible Bluetooth
®
phones. Depending on the type of
Bluetooth® phone being connected, a
message confirming registration may be
displayed on the Bluetooth
® phone’s
screen. Respond and operate the
Bluetooth
® phone according to the confir-
mation message.
To use the hands-free system, it is neces-
sary to register a phone with the system.
Once the phone has been registered, it
is possible to make a hands-free call.
If a Bluetooth
® phone has not been reg-
istered yet, it is necessary to register it
first according to the following proce-
dure. A Bluetooth
® phone cannot be
registered while driving.

2Select “Phone” on the “Menu” screen.
zThe “Phone” screen can be displayed by

3Select “Messages” .
zDepending on the type of Bluetooth®
phone being connected, it may be neces-
sary to perform additional steps on the
phone.
z When “Message Transfer” is set to “Off ”, a
confirmation screen will be displayed.

zMessages are displayed in the appropriate
connected Bluetooth® phone’s registered
mail address folder. Select the tab of the
desired folder to be displayed.
5Messages can be checked.
z Selecting “Previous” or “Next” displays the
previous or next message.
z Only received messages on the connected
Bluetooth
® phone can be displayed.
z The text of the message is not displayed
while driving.
Received messages can be forwarded
from the connected Bluetooth
® phone,
enabling checking and replying using
the navigation system (Quick reply).

message. Select “Stop” to stop the func-

z Select “-” or “+”, turn the “PWR·VOL”
knob, or use the volume switch on the
steering wheel to adjust the message read
out volume.
z The message read out function is available

“Mark as Read” to mark mails that have
not been read on the Bluetooth
® phone
