The digital clock indicates the time when the key is in the
ªACCº or ªONº position.
To reset the time, push and hold the ªMODEº button for 2
seconds. ªILLº will appear on the display. Then push the
ªMODEº button once. The time will blink.
To reset the hour Ð Push the ª
º button.
To reset the minutes Ð Push the ª
º button.
To adjust the time to the nearest hour, push the ªRESETº
button. For example, if the ªRESETº button is depressed when
the time is between 1:01 Ð 1:29, the time will change to 1:00.
If the time is between 1:30 Ð 1:59, the time will change to 2:00.
If the electric power source has been disconnected, the time
display will automatically be set to 1:00.
Outside temperature and cruise information
The following information is shown with the ignition
switch turned on. Each time you push the ªMODEº button,
the display toggles through this information.
 Outside temperature
 Average fuel consumption
 Instantaneous fuel consumption
 Driving range
 Average vehicle speed
 Barometer
 Altimeter
 Elapsed time
The displayed values indicate general driving conditions.
Accuracy varies with driving habits and road conditions.

All of the lights except the center console spot lights will
come on when any of the side doors are opened.* After all
the doors are closed, the lights remain on for about 15
seconds before fading out.**
NOTE:
* The operating condition can be changed.** The duration of lighting can be changed, and the footlights and inside door handle lights can be set not to comeon.Ask your Lexus dealer for details.
However, in the following cases, the lights go out immediately:
 All of the lights except the center console spot lights Ð All
the side doors and back door are locked.
 Ignition switch light, personal lights and center interior light
Ð All the side doors are closed and the ignition key is in the
ªACCº or ªONº position.
 Running board lights Ð The vehicle speed exceeds about
8 km/h (5 mph). When
any of the side doors is unlocked, all of the lights except
the center console spot lights will come on and remain on for
about 15 seconds before fading out.
To prevent the battery being discharged, all of the lights will
automatically turn off when the ignition key removed and the
door is left opened for about 30 minutes.
Ignition switch light, personal lights and center interior
light
The ignition switch light, personal lights and center interior light
also come on and remain on for about 15 seconds before
fading out when the ignition switch is turned to the ªLOCKº
position.
Foot lights and inside door handle lights
The foot lights and inside door handle lights also come on when
the ignition switch is in the ªONº position with the selector lever
in the ªPº position. When the selector lever is moved out of ªPº\
position, the intensity of the foot lights and inside door handle
lights will be reduced.*
NOTE: * The intensity of the foot lights and inside door handle lightscan be set not to be reduced.Ask your Lexus dealer for details.
Center console spot lights
The center console spot lights come on when the ignition
switch is in the ªACCº or ªONº position.

CIGARETTE LIGHTER ANDASHTRAY
Front
To use the cigarette lighter and ashtray, first push against
the cigarette lighter and ashtray covers. Then when the
cigarette lighter cover opens, press in the cigarette lighter.
After it finishes heating up, it automatically pops out ready
for use.
Do not hold the cigarette lighter pressed in.
If the engine is not running, the ignition key must be in the
ªACCº position to use the lighter. When finished with your cigarette, thoroughly extinguish it in
the ashtray to prevent other cigarette butts from catching fire.
After using the ashtray, close the lid completely.
To remove the ashtray, press down on the lock spring plate and
pull out.
Use a Lexus genuine cigarette lighter or equivalent for
replacement.
CAUTION
To reduce the chance of injury in case of an accident or
sudden stop while driving, always completely close the
ashtray after use.

Rear
To use the ashtray, raise the lid.
When finished with your cigarette, thoroughly extinguish it in
the ashtray to prevent other cigarette butts from catching fire.
After using the ashtray, close the lid completely.
To remove the ashtray, raise the lid and pull it out.
CAUTION
To reduce the chance of injury in case of an accident or
sudden stop while driving, always completely close the
ashtray after use.
POWER OUTLETS
12 VDC
The power outlet is designed for power supply for car
accessories.
The ignition key must be in the ªACCº or ªONº position for t\
he
power outlet to be used.

To prevent the battery from being discharged, do notuse the power outlet longer than necessary when theengine is not running.

11 5 VA C
This power outlet is designed for use as a power supply
for electric appliances in the vehicle. The key must be in the ªONº position for the power outlet to be
used.
The maximum capacity for this power outlet is 115 V
AC/100W.
If you attempt to use an appliance that requires more than 115
VAC or 100W, the protection circuit will activate and cut the
power supply. The power supply will restart automatically
when you use an appliance that operates within the 115
VAC/100W limits.

 Measuring devices which process precise data: Medical
equipment, measuring instruments, etc.
 Other appliances requiring an extremely stable power
supply: Microcomputer±controlled electric blankets, touch
sensor lamps, etc.

Unlock by inserting the master key and turning it
counterclockwise.
With the tail lig
hts on, the glove box light will come on when the
glove box door is open.
CAUTION
To reduce the chance of injury in case of an accident or
a sudden stop, always keep the glove box door closed
while driving.
REAR CONSOLE BOX
To access the rear console box, push the center of the lid.
The rear console box light comes on when the tail lights are
turned on.
CAUTION

while driving.

MOON ROOF
1Open2Close
To slide open the moon roof, push the switch on the
ªSLIDE OPENº side for about 1 second. The moon roof
will fully open. To stop partway, push the same side or
ªTILT UPº side briefly.
The sunshade can be opened or closed manually. However,
if you open the moon roof, the sunshade will be opened with
the moon roof.
When the moon roof is fully opened, the wind deflector raises
to reduce the entering of the strong wind. The angle of the
deflector is changed according to the vehicle speed.
To close the moon roof, push the switch on the ªTILT UPº
side for about 1 second. The moon roof will fully close.
To stop partway, push the same side or ªSLIDE OPENº
side briefly.To slide open the tilted±up moon roof:
Push the switch on the ªSLIDE OPENº side to tilt down the
moon roof. After releasing the switch, push the switch on the
same side again.

To tilt up the moon roof, push the switch on the ªTILT UPº
side for about 1 second. The moon roof will fully tilt up.
To stop partway, push the same side or ªSLIDE OPENº
side briefly.
To tilt down the moon roof, push the switch on the ªSLIDE
OPENº side for about 1 second. The moon roof will fully
tilt down. To stop partway, push the same side or ªTILT
UPº side briefly.
To operate the moon roof, the ignition key must be in the ªONº
position.

Key off operation:
Even if the ignition key is turned to the
ªACCº or ªLOCKº position, the moon roof can be operated until
a front door is opened (or for 43 seconds).
To tilt up the slide±opened moon roof:
Push the switch on the ªTILT UPº side to close the moon roof
fully. After releasing the switch, push the switch on the same
side again.
Operating the moon roof from outside the
vehicle
The moon roof can be operated using an ignition key.*
NOTE: * This feature can be deactivate.Ask your Lexus dealer for details.
CloseOpen
Insert the ignition key into the key hole on the driver's
door.
To close the moon roof: Turn the key in the locking direction
and hold it.
To open the moon roof: Turn the key in the unlocking
direction and hold it.
After the door is unlocked, the moon roof begins to open. To
stop in the middle, return the key.

11 8The moon roof also can be opened using the wireless remote
control. For details, see page 19.
Jam protection function

If something gets caught between the moon roof and frame
during slide closing operation, the moon roof stops and
opens half way, and the deflector stops and raises fully.
 If something gets caught between the moon roof and frame
during tilting down operation, the moon roof stops and
opens fully.
If the moon roof receives a strong impact, this function may
work even if nothing is caught.
If the battery is disconnected or run down
The moon roof may not operate automatically and the jam
protection function will not function correctly after you
reconnect, replace or recharge the battery. In any of these
cases, you should normalize the moon roof.
To normalize the moon roof, push and hold the switch on the
ªTILT UPº side until the moon roof tilts all the way up and then
tilts down a little automatically.
Make sure that the moon roof opens and closes automatically.
If the moon roof cannot be operated properly, have it checked
by your Lexus dealer.
CAUTION
To avoid serious personal injury, you must do the
following.
 While the vehicle is moving, always keep the heads,
hands and other parts of the bodies of all occupants
away from the roof opening. Otherwise, they could
be seriously injured if the vehicle stops suddenly or
if the vehicle is involved in an accident.
 Before you close the moon roof, always make sure
there is nobody around the moon roof. You must also
make sure nobody places his or her head, hands and
other parts of the body in the roof opening. If
someone's neck, head or hands get caught in the
closing roof, it could result in death or serious injury.
When anyone closes the moon roof, first make sure
it is safe to do so.
 Be sure to remove the ignition key when you leave
your vehicle.
 Never leave anyone (particularly a small child) alone
in your vehicle, especially with the ignition key still
inserted. Otherwise, he/she could use the moon roof
switch and get trapped in the roof opening.
Unattended p erson (particularly a small child) can be
involved in a serious accident.
 Never sit on top of the vehicle around the roof
opening.
