■Adjusting the headlight aim
Turn bolt A in either direction
using a Phillips-head screw-
driver.
Remember the turning direction
and the number of turns in mind.
Turn bolt B the same number of
turns and in the same direction
as step 1 using a Phillips-head
screwdriver.
If the error is over the value
specified above, take the vehicle
to your Lexus dealer to adjust
the headlight aim.

Light bulbs
You may replace the following bulbs yourself. For more information about
replacing other light bulbs, contact your Lexus dealer.
■Preparing a replacement light bulb
Check the wattage of the light bulb being replaced. ( →P. 568)

Replacing light bulbs■ Headlight high beams and daytime ru nning lights (vehicles with halo-
gen headlights)
Release the lock and remove the
cover.
Turn the bulb base counterclock-
wise.
Unplug the connector while
depressing the lock release.

the bulb base.
Align the 3 tabs on the light bulb
with the mounting, and insert.
Turn and secure the bulb base.
Shake the bulb base gently to
check that it is not loose, turn the
headlight high beams and daytime
running lights on once and visually
confirm that no light is leaking
through the mounting.
When installing the cover install by conducting with the
directions reversed.

and remove it.
Turn the bulb base counterclock-
wise.
Unplug the connector while pull-
ing the lock release.

the bulb base.

Back-up light
Open the trunk lid and remove the
trunk panel cover clips.
Partly remove the trunk panel
cover and turn bulb bases
counterclockwise.
Remove the light bulb.

Open the trunk lid and remove the
covers.
Remove the bolts and unit.
Turn the bulb base counterclock-
wise.
Remove the light bulb.
