Programming HomeLink to the GenieIntellicode Garage Door Opener Motor
Note:You may need a ladder to access thegarage door opener motor.
1. Press and hold the program button onthe garage door opener motor until bothblue indicator lights turn on.
2. Release the program button. Only thesmaller round indicator light should beon.
3. Press and release the program button.The larger purple indicator light will flash.
Note:The next two steps must be completedin 30 seconds.
4. Press and release the Genie Intellicode2 hand-held transmitter’s previouslyprogrammed button. Both indicator lightson the garage door opener motor unitshould now flash purple.
5. Press and hold the previouslyprogrammed button on the visor for 2seconds. Repeat this step up to 3 timesuntil the garage door moves.
Programming is now complete.
Clearing a HomeLink Device
To erase programming from the threeHomeLink buttons press and hold the twoouter HomeLink buttons until the indicatorlight begins to flash. The indicator light willbegin flashing in 10 to 20 seconds, at whichtime both buttons should be released.Programming has now been erased, and theindicator light should blink slowly to indicatethe device is in train mode when any of thethree HomeLink buttons are pressed.

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
WARNING: Always fully apply theparking brake and make sure you shift intopark (P). Failure to follow this instructioncould result in personal injury or death.
WARNING: Do not apply the brakepedal and accelerator pedal simultaneously.Applying both pedals simultaneously formore than a few seconds will limit engineperformance, which may result in difficultymaintaining speed in traffic and could leadto serious injury.
Note:Under certain conditions, you may notbe able to shift out of park (P) unless theintelligent access key is inside the vehicle.
Push Button Shift Transmission
Your vehicle is equipped with an electronictransmission. The shift buttons are locatedon the instrument panel next to thetouchscreen. The gears are selected bypressing and releasing the PRNDS buttons.
Every time a gear is selected, the selectedbutton will light up. You will also see the gearselected appear in the instrument cluster.
Understanding the Positions of yourElectronic Transmission
Note:Always come to a complete stopbefore putting your vehicle into and out ofpark (P).
Putting your vehicle in gear:
1. Fully press down the brake pedal.
2. Press and release the button on theinstrument panel of the gear you want toselect.

Brake-Shift Interlock Override
WARNING: Do not drive your vehicleuntil you verify that the stoplamps areworking.
WARNING: When doing this procedure,you need to take the transmission out of park(P) which means your vehicle can roll freely.To avoid unwanted vehicle movement,always fully apply the parking brake prior todoing this procedure. Use wheels chocks ifappropriate.
WARNING: If the parking brake is fullyreleased, but the brake warning lampremains illuminated, the brakes may not beworking properly. Have your vehicle checkedas soon as possible.
Note:See your authorized dealer as soonas possible if this procedure is used.
Note:For some markets this feature isdisabled.
Note:This feature will only function if your12-volt battery has power. If vehicle batteryvoltage is not sufficient, an external 12-voltpower source (for example, jumper cables,battery charger or jump pack) may berequired to function the interlock overrideswitch.
Use the brake-shift interlock override tomove your transmission from the parkposition in the event of an electricalmalfunction. If your vehicle has a deadbattery, an external power source will berequired.
1. Apply the parking brake and turn yourignition off before performing thisprocedure.
2. Locate your brake-shift interlock accessslot. The slot is located in your centerconsole storage bin. The access slotdoes not have a label.
Note:Make sure that you correctly identifythe access hole as not to damage the mediahub.
3. Using a tool, press and hold the brakeshift interlock switch. The shift buttonson the instrument panel will flash whenyour vehicle is in override mode.
4. With the override switch still held, pressthe neutral button (N) to shift from park.
5. Release the override button.

Make sure that you dispose of old batteriesin an environmentally friendly way. Seekadvice from your local authority aboutrecycling old batteries.
If storing your vehicle for more than 30 dayswithout recharging the battery, werecommend that you disconnect the batterycables to maintain battery charge for quickstarting.
CHECKING THE WIPER BLADES
Run the tip of your fingers over the edge ofthe blade to check for roughness.
Clean the wiper blades with washer fluid orwater applied with a soft sponge or cloth.
CHANGING THE WIPER BLADES
You can improve poor wiper quality bycleaning the wiper blades and thewindshield.
Note:Do not move the wiper arm when theignition is on as it may cause damage to thewiper motor.
Replace the wiper blades at least annuallyfor optimum performance.
Front Wiper Blades
1. Lift the wiper arm and then press thewiper blade locking buttons together.
Note:Do not hold the wiper blade whenlifting the wiper arm.
Note:Make sure that the wiper arm doesnot spring back against the glass when thewiper blade is not attached.
2. Slightly rotate the wiper blade.
3. Remove the wiper blade.
4. Install in the reverse order.
Note:Make sure that the wiper blade locksinto place.

911 Assist
WARNING: Unless the 911 Assistsetting is set on before a crash, the systemwill not dial for help which could delayresponse time, potentially increasing the riskof serious injury or death after a crash.
WARNING: Do not wait for 911 Assistto make an emergency call if you can do ityourself. Dial emergency servicesimmediately to avoid delayed response timewhich could increase the risk of serious injuryor death after a crash. If you do not hear 911Assist within five seconds of the crash, thesystem or phone may be damaged ornon-functional.
WARNING: Always place your phonein a secure location in your vehicle so it doesnot become a projectile or get damaged ina crash. Failure to do so may cause seriousinjury to someone or damage the phonewhich could prevent 911 Assist from workingproperly.
Note:The SYNC 911 Assist feature must beset on before the incident.
Note:The SYNC 911 Assist feature onlyoperates in the U.S., Canada or in a territoryin which 911 is the emergency number.
Note:Before setting this feature on, makesure that you read the 911 Assist PrivacyNotice later in this section for importantinformation.
Note:If any user sets 911 Assist to on or off,that setting applies for all paired phones. If911 Assist is switched off and the phone isconnected to SYNC, an icon displays on thestatus bar.
Note:Every phone operates differently.While SYNC 911 Assist works with mostcellular phones, some may have troubleusing this feature.
If a crash deploys an airbag (excluding kneeairbags and rear inflatable safety belts [ifequipped]) or activates the fuel pumpshut-off, your SYNC-equipped vehicle maybe able to contact emergency services bydialing 911 through a paired and connectedBluetooth-enabled phone. You can use the volume control to adjust thevolume of the system voice prompts. Whileprompt is active, adjust the volume controlup or down to your desired setting.
Note:Depending on the current climatecontrol settings, the fan speed mayautomatically go down while issuing voicecommands or while making and receivingphone calls via SYNC to reduce the amountof background noise in the vehicle. The fanspeed will automatically return to normaloperation once the voice session ends. Youcan adjust the fan speed during a voicesession, simply press the fan buttons (or turnthe fan knob) to increase or decrease thefan speed to the setting you prefer.
To disable this automatic fan speedreduction feature during voice sessions,press and hold the climate control AC andRecirculated air buttons simultaneously,release and then increase fan speed within2 seconds. To re-enable this feature, repeatthe above sequence.

Tuning a Station
You can use the tune or seek controls on theradio bezel to select a station.
To tune a station using the touchscreen,select:

You can press the backspace button todelete the previously entered number.
