â–¼ When Warning Indicator/Beep is Activated
The system notifies the driver of an abnormality by activating the beep sound and the
indicator light.

The indicator light flashes when
the parking sensor switch is
pressed at a vehicle speed of 10
km/h (6 mph) or less. The system may have a malfunction. Have
the vehicle inspected at an Author-
ized Mazda Dealer as soon as possible.

The intermittent sound of the
buzzer is heard 5 times. Remove any foreign material from the se

Turn the commander switch volume dial.
The volume switch on the steering switch
can also be pressed.
NOTE
Press the volume dial to mute and pause.
However, while an audio source which
cannot be paused such as FM radio is
playing, only mute is available. Press the
volume dial again to resume the audio.
â–¼Display setting
Select the icon on the home screen to
display the Settings screen.
Select the
tab to select the item you
would like to change.
Display OFF/Clock
The center display can be turned off.
Select
to turn the display off.
When

selected the center display turns off and
the clock is displayed.
The center display can be turned back on

The daytime or night time screen can be

ï‚·When the icon is illuminated, there
could be a noticeable difference in
sound quality and volume when a
change from digital to analog signals
occurs. If the sound quality and volume
become noticeably diminished or cut off,
select the
icon to turn off
( icon is not illuminated).
ï‚·Once an analog broadcast is received
when HD1 is selected from the Favorite
channels, it is switched to
automatically. If the radio reception
conditions are poor, or HD is off,
switching to
broadcasts is not
possible.
ï‚·When an HD specialty channel (HD2 to
HD8) is selected from the Favorite
channels, “Signal Lost” is displayed
and no audio is output until
is received. If the radio reception
conditions are poor, “Signal Lost”
continues to be displayed.
ï‚·If the icon is not illuminated,
information such as song titles of the
station are received, however,
the audio output is analog.
iTunes Tagging (for Apple devices with
USB use only)
By tagging a song currently being aired,
the song can later be purchased from the
iTunes Store. One hundred tags can be
stored. A maximum of 100 tags (for 100
songs) can be stored for later
downloading.
1. Select the
icon. The tag is stored in
the audio unit.
2. Connect the device via the vehicle's
USB. Any stored tag(s) will be sent
automatically to the connected device.
3. Once at home or after parking thevehicle safely, log onto the iTunes
Store with your device. Your
previously tagged song(s) can now be
easily purchased.
NOTE
ï‚·Both AM and FM can be
used.
ï‚·Because iTunes tagging only supports
purchases from the iTunes Store, direct
downloading of music from the vehicle's
audio unit is not possible.
ï‚·If the available memory for the
connected device is insufficient, the tag
is not sent.
ï‚·If an error occurs while the tag is being
sent, reconnect the device.

CAUTION
Though the system can be set to not call
911, doing so will defe at the purpose of the
system. Mazda recommends that the
Automatic 911 dialing system remain
activated.

The ambient lights continuously turn on when the ignition is switched ON.
The ambient lights dim when the parking lights or headlights are turned on.

CAUTION
When removing the lens or lamp unit using
a flathead screwdriver, make sure that the
flathead screwdriver does not contact the
interior terminal. If the flathead screwdriver
contacts the terminal, a short circuit may
occur.
NOTE
ï‚·To replace the bulb, contact an
Authorized Mazda Dealer.
ï‚·Use the protective cover and carton for
the replacement bulb to dispose of the
old bulb promptly and out of the reach
of children.
â–¼Replacing Exterior Light Bulbs
The exterior lights have either LEDs or
normal bulbs.

single unit because it is an integrated unit.
The LED bulb has to be replaced with the
unit. We recommend an Authorized
Mazda Dealer when the replacement is
necessary.

NOTE
When replacing a bulb for the front turn
signal lights and parking lights/front
side-marker lights, turn the steering wheel
and change the direction in which the tires
are pointed to the position where the bulb
replacement can be done easily.
Turn the steering wheel after starting the
engine and stop the engine after you finish
turning the steering wheel.
1. If you are changing the right bulb, start the engine, turn the steering wheel all
the way to the right, and turn off
engine. If you are changing the left
bulb, turn the steering wheel to the left,
and turn off engine.
2. Make sure the ignition is switched off, and the headlight switch is off.

8. Install the new bulb in the reverseorder of the removal procedure.
NOTE
There will be no problem with
functionality with the wiring harness
disconnected in Step 5 left
disconnected.
Therefore, there is no need to connect
the wiring harness.
Rear turn signal lights
1. Make sure the ignition is switched off, and the headlight switch is off.
2. Remove the cover.

3. Turn the screws counterclockwise andremove them.

4. Pull the unit rearward to remove it.
5. Disconnect the wiring harness byreleasing the clamp.
