In the unlikely event that the vehicle were to hit a pedestrian and a certain amount
of impact is applied to the front of the vehicle, impact to the head of the pedestrian
if it were to hit the bonnet is lessened by the rear area of the bonnet raising
instantly to maintain a wide space between it and the parts in the engine
compartment. If the sensor installed to the back of the front bumper detects a
certain amount of impact by a collision with a pedestrian or other obstruction
while the vehicle is being driven at a speed sufficient to activate the system, the
system is activated and the bonnet is raised.

Operational Range
The advanced keyless system operates only when the driver is in the vehicle or
within operational range while the key is being carried.
Both doors and the boot lid, fuel-filler flap can be
locked/unlocked by pressing the request switch
while the key is being carried.

Steering Wheel Adjustment
1. Stop the vehicle, and then pull down the lock
release lever under the steering column.
3. Attempt to push the steering wheel up and
down to make sure it's locked before driving. 2. Tilt the steering wheel to the desired positions,
then push the lever up to lock the column.

Auto-dimming mirror
The auto-dimming mirror automatically reduces
glare of headlights from vehicles at the rear when
the ignition is switched ON.
Press the ON/OFF button to cancel the automatic
dimming function. The indicator light will turn off.
To reactivate the automatic dimming function, press the
ON/OFF button . The indicator light will illuminate.

right to choose the left or right side
mirror.

Both windows can also be operated using the master control switches on
the driver's door.
To open the window to the desired position, lightly hold down the switch.
To close the window to the desired position, lightly pull up the switch.

When the fuel-filler flap end is pressed with the
doors unlocked, the fuel-filler flap rises.

To remove the fuel-filler cap, turn it anticlockwise.
Attach the removed cap to the inner side of the
fuel flap.
To close the fuel-filler cap, turn it clockwise

1. Make sure the parking brake is applied.
4. With the lock release button depressed forward, pull back the top latch lever to
unlock it. 2. If the engine is running, turn it off.
3. Make sure there are no objects which have been placed in the area where the
convertible top is to be retracted.
5. Remove the striker from the anchor.

Lowering the Convertible Top
6. Standing outside of the vehicle, hold the convertible top along the front edge
and pull it toward the vehicle rear.
7. Move the convertible top rearward and fold it while pressing the rear glass
lightly with your hand.
For details, refer to Section 3, “Convertible Top (Soft Top)”.
8. With the back end of the convertible top pressed, press the front end until a
latch sound is heard.
Lightly rock the retracted convertible top to make sure it is securely locked.

Raising the Convertible Top
1. Make sure the parking brake is applied.
3. Pull up the unlock lever to disengage the lock. 2. If the engine is running, turn it off.
4. Standing outside of the vehicle, hold the convertible top along the front edge
and pull it towards the vehicle front.
5. Sitting in a seat, grasp the convertible top's handles, and press the convertible
top against the windscreen.
Make sure the striker engages with the anchor, move the top latch slowly, and
then push the top latch upward until a latch sound is heard.

Starting the Engine
1. Make sure the parking brake is on.
2. Continue to press the brake pedal firmly
until the engine has completely started.
3. (Manual transmission)
Continue to press the clutch pedal firmly
until the engine has completely started.
(Automatic transmission)
Put the vehicle in park (P). If you must
restart the engine while the vehicle is
moving, shift into neutral (N).
4. Press the push button start after both the KEY indicator
light (green) in the instrument cluster and the push button
start indicator light (green) illuminate.

Turning the Engine Off
1. Stop the vehicle completely.
2. (Manual transmission)
Shift into neutral and set the parking brake.
(Automatic transmission)
Shift the selector lever to the P position and set the parking brake.
3. Press the push button start to turn off the engine. The ignition position is off.
