when needed.Together with ESP®and 4ETS,4MATIC improvesthe traction ofyourvehiclewhenever a driven wheel spins duetoinsuffi‐cient traction.
Ifyoufailtoadaptyour drivingstyle, 4MATIC canneitherreducetherisk of an accident norover‐ridethe lawsof physics. 4MATIC cannottakeaccount ofroad, weather and traffic conditions.4MATIC is only an aid.You areresponsible espe‐ciallyfor maintaining a safe distance fromthevehicle in front, forvehicle speed, for braking ingood time andforstaying in lane.
In wintryroad conditions, the maximumeffect of 4MATIC can be achieved only ifyou
use winter tires (M+S tires), with snowchains if necessary.
