Repeatedly switching onthe seat heating cancausethe seat cushion and seat backrestpaddingtobecomeveryhot.
The health of persons with limitedtempera‐ture sensitivity or a limited abilitytoreacttohightemperatures may be affected ortheymayeven suffer burn-like injuries.
Do notrepeatedly switch onthe seatheating.
Toprotect againstoverheating,the seat heatingmay betemporarily deactivated after it isswitched onrepeatedly.

Toswitch on/increasethe level:press but‐ton1repeatedly untilthe desired heatinglevel is set.Depending onthe heating level, uptothreeindicator lamps light up.
Toswitch off/reducethe level:press but‐ton1repeatedly untilthe desired heatinglevel is set.If all indicator lamps are off,the seat heatingis switched off.
The seat heating automatically switchesdown fromthethree heating levels after 8,10and 20 minutes untilthe seat heating isswitched off.
Switchingthe seatventilation on/off
Requirements:RThe power supply is switched on
Toswitch on/increasethe level:press but‐ton1repeatedly untilthe desiredventila‐tion level is set.Depending ontheventilation level, uptothree indicator lamps light up.

Toremovethe insert:pushribbing3fromthe left side and pull insert1upwards andout.
Toinstallthe insert:install insert1fromaboveand press down onthe holder until itengages.
Usingthe cigarettelighter inthe front centerconsole

You can burnyourself ifyoutouchthe hotheating element orthe socket ofthe ciga‐rette lighter.
In addition,flammable materials may igniteif:

Always holdthe cigarettelighterbytheknob.
Always make surethatthe cigarettelighter is out ofreach ofchildren.
Never leavechildren unattended inthevehicle.

Switchingtheresidual heat on or off
Requirements:RThevehicle is parked.
It is possibletomake use oftheresidual heatfromthe enginetocontinue heating orventilat‐ingthe front compartment ofthevehicleforapproximately 30 minutes.
Toswitch on:pressthebutton.
Residual heat is switched off automatically.
Activating/deactivating ionization
Multimedia system:

Ionization cleans andrefreshesthe interior air ofthevehicle. The ionization ofthe interior air isodorless.

Driving when underthe influence of alcoholand/or drugs is anextremelydangerouscombination. Even smallquantities of alcoholor drugs may affectyourreflexes, perceptionand judgment.
The probability of a serious orevenfatal acci‐dent greatly increases ifyou drive whenunderthe influence of alcohol or drugs.
Do not drink alcohol ortakedrugs whiledriving, and do not allow anyonetodrive who has been drinking alcohol ortaking drugs.

Ifyou leaveyourfootonthe brake pedalwhen driving,the brake system mayover‐heat.
This increasesthe braking distance andthebrake system mayevenfail.
Never usethe brake pedal as afootrest.

Before driving into a carwash makesurethatthe carwash is suitableforthevehicle dimensions.
Ensurethere is sufficient ground clear‐ance betweenthe underbody andtheguiderails ofthe carwash.
Ensurethatthe clearance width ofthecarwash, in particularthe width oftheguiderails, is sufficient.
Toavoid damageto yourvehicle when using acarwash, ensurethefollowing beforehand:
RActive Distance AssistDISTRONIC andtheHOLD function are deactivated.
Rthe 360° Camera ortherear view camera isswitched off.
Rthe side windowsand sliding sunroof arecompletelyclosed.
Rthe blowerfortheventilation/heating isswitched off.

Rin carwashes with a conveyor system: neu‐tral\\is engaged.

If, afterthe carwash,youremovethewaxfromthe windshield and wiperrubbers,thiswill prevent smearing andreduce wipernoise.
