he external conditions, improved
cooling and dehumidiNcation of the interior air are
supported when the A/C function is activated. If
it is not possible to operate the A/C function on
the climate bar on the central display, switch the
function on or oM in the climate menu of the cen-
tral display.

ting the air distribution are automatically
deactivated. When the air conditioning system
is switched oM, the buttons remain operable

It is possible to make use of the residual heat
fr
om the engine to continue heating or ventilating
the front compartment of the vehicle for approx-
imately 30 minutes, depending on the tempera-
ture set. 
To switch on or oM: select Residual heat on

The residual heat function will automatically

% If residual engine heat utilisation is activated,

and air distribution will automatically be deac-

restricted if the side air vents on the driver's

Requirements: = Automatic climate control is activated.

Air quality
The fragrance system distributes a pleasant fra-
grance throughout the vehicle interior from a Oa-
con located in the glove box. 
Navigate down until the climate control bar is
activ

Select Air freshener. 
Activate or deactivate fragrancing.

If you do not use genuine Mercedes-Benz interior
per fumes, observe the manufacturers' safety noti-
ces on the perfume packaging.
Dispose of the genuine Mercedes-Benz interior
perfume Oacon when it is empty and do not reNll
it.
ReNllable Oacon 
Unscrew the cap of the empty Oacon.
Fill the Oacon wit
h a maximum of 15 ml. 
Screw the cap back onto the Oacon.

Depending on the vehicle's equipment, the follow-
ing functions will be activated as needed during
pre-warming:
= Automatic climate control
= Blower
= Seat heating
= Steering wheel heater
= Mirror heater
= Rear window heater
Depending on the vehicle's equipment, the follow-
ing functions will also be adjusted during pre-
entry climate control if they have already been
switched on during regular vehicle operation:
= Fragrancing
= Ionisation Climate control

If pre-entry climate control is enabled, an LED on

he climate bar of the central display will light up
blue for a cooled vehicle and red for a heated
vehicle.
Activating/deactivating pre-entry climate control
when the vehicle is unlocked
Requirements: = The high-voltage battery is charged suP-
ciently.
= The function has been activated via the multi-
media system. 
To switch on: unloc
k the vehicle.
The climate control functions are activated for
up to Nve minutes for pre-heating and pre-
cooling.
Pre-entry climate control when the vehicle is
unloc
ked cannot be activated more than twice
when the vehicle is switched oM.

Repeatedly switching on the seat heating can
cause t
he seat cushion and seat backrest pad-
ding to become very hot.
In particular, the health of persons with limited
temperature sensitivity or a limited ability to
react to high temperatures may be aMected or
they may even suMer burn-like injuries. 
Do not repeatedly switch on the seat

To protect against overheating, the seat heating
ma
y be temporarily deactivated aser it has been
switched on repeatedly.
% This function is available only for vehicles with
48 V on-boar
d electrical systems.
The air inside the vehicle can be heated, ventila-
t
ed or cooled to the set temperature when the
vehicle is parked.
When the vehicle is connected to power supply
equipment, priority will be given to charging the
48 V battery to a speciNed minimum charge.
When the vehicle is connected to power supply
equipment, priority will be given to charging the
high-voltage battery to a speciNed minimum
charge.
The running time of pre-entry climate control may
be reduced in the following circumstances:
= The vehicle is not connected to power supply
equipment.
= The 48 V battery is not fully charged. The running time of pre-entry climate control may
be r
educed in the following circumstances:
= The vehicle is not connected to power supply
equipment.
= The high-voltage battery is not fully charged.
With active pre-entry climate control, the charge
level of the 48 V battery may be reduced, even if
the charging cable connector is connected.
With active pre-entry climate control, the charge
level of the 48 V battery may be reduced, even if
the charging cable connector is connected.
If present, seat ventilation will be activated in
cooling and ventilation modes.
Depending on the vehicle's equipment, the follow-
ing functions will be activated in heating mode, if
available:
= Seat heating
= Steering wheel heater
= Mirror heater
= Rear window heater
= Windscreen heater When the set temperature changes, climate con-
tr
ol mode will switch automatically as follows:
= from heating mode to ventilation or cooling
mode, or
= from cooling mode to ventilation or heating
mode, or
= from ventilation mode to heating or cooling
mode
