Flat tyre
6 Using the wheel wrench, loosen the
wheel bol tson the wheel you wish to
change by about one turn. Do not re-
move them.
The jacking points are located to the rear
of the wheel housings of the front wheels
and in front of the wheel housings of the
rear wheels.

Risk of injury The ja
ckis designed only toraise the vehicle
for a short while when a wheel is changed.
If you intend to work under the vehicle,
place the vehicle on stands.
Prepare the vehic leas described
(= pag
e363).
Make sure that th estanding surface for the
jack is firm, eve nand not slippery. Do not
us eblocks of wood or similar as jacking sup-
po rts, as the jack will not be able to ac hieve
it s load-bearing capacity due to the restrict-
ed height.
Do not start the engine at any time wh ilet he
wheel is being changed.
Do not crawl under the vehicle while itis
supported by the jack. If you do not raise the
vehicle in the way described, it could slip off
the jack (e.g. when the engineis star ted or
the doors orboot lid areop ened or closed). P 40.10-2600-31

esure that the base of the jack is di-
rectly below the jacking point.
6 Continue to turn the crank unt ilthe tyre
is raised a maximum of 3cm from the
ground. 4

6 Undo the uppermost wheel bolt com-
pletely.
6 In place of the whee lbolt, screw cen-
tring pin 4fromthe vehicle tool kit
into the thread.
6 Undo the remaining wheel bol ts.
! Do not place wheel bolts in sand or on a dirty
surface. Th is could cau sedamag eto the bolts
and wheel hub threads.
6 Remove the wheel. Fitting a new wheel

6 Clean the wheel and wheel hub contact
surfaces. G
