station every time you operate the radio or
wh ether it should select a station which
has already been stored ( =pa ge 113).

Set automatic locking
You can use this function to activate or
deactivate the automatic central locking. If
the automatic locking is activated, your
vehicle will lock centrally from a speed of
about 15 km /h. For further information,
see Automatic lockin g(

centre console
The sw itch is located on the right-hand
side of the lower section of the centre con-
sole.
1 Auxiliary heatin g/ventilation
2 Red or blue indicator lamp
3 Yellow indicator lamp
The indicator lamps in the switch may light
up in blue, red or yellow. If the ignition is set to
1or 2:
6 Press and hold button 1form ore than
two secon ds.
The red or blue indicator lamp in the
switch lights up. The auxiliary heating /
ventilation is switch edon.
If there is no key in the ignition lock or the
ignition is set to 0:
6 Briefly press button 1.
The red or blu eindicator lamp in the
switch lights up. The auxiliary heating /
ventilation is switch edon.
i The blu eindicator lamp lights upafter two
seconds if you have swit ched over to auxiliary
ventilation. Remote control
The remote control has a max
imum range
of approximatel y300 m. The range may be
re duc edby:
! sources of radio interference
! solidobjects between the remote con-
trol and the vehicle
! the remote control being in an unfa-
vourable position in relation to the
vehicle
! transmitting inan enclosed space
i Optimum range can be achieved by holding
the remote control vertically whe ntransmitting.
One remote control is supplied as part of the
vehicle's equipment. However, a second remote
control canbeused for eac hvehicle. For furt her
infor mation, please consult aqualified spe cialist

Repeat the procedure in this case. Stand

The battery is almost discharged if the indi-
cator la mpon the remot eco ntrol lights up in
orange first aft erone of the buttons is
pressed.

approximate lythree seconds.
Parktronic switches off after approximate-
ly 30 seconds and the indicator lamp in
the Parktronic button lights up. Parktronic has malfunctioned and has
switched itself off. 6
Have the Parktronic checked as soon as
possible at a qualified specialist work-
shop, e.g. a Mercedes-Benz Service
Centre. Only the red segments in the Parktronic
warning dis
plays are lit.
Parktronic switches off after 20 seconds. The Parktronic sensors are dirty or there is
in
terference. 6
Clean the Parktronic sensors
(=
page 269).
6 Switch on the ignition again. There may be interference from an exter-
nal source of radio or ultrasonic waves. 6
Check the Parktronic functions at an-

Lock or unlock the vehicle using the
emergency key element (=
page 341). The battery check lamp in the KEYLESS GO
key does not light up
when tested. The KEYLESS GO key batteries are dis-
charged. 6
Change the batteries ( =page 355). The vehicle cannot be started using the
KEYLESS GO key and the selector lever
button. The KEYLESS GO key is in the vehi-
cle. A door is open. The key cannot be easily
detected. 6
Close the door and restart the engine. You did not depress the brake pedal
when
starting the engine. 6
Depress the brake pedal and press the
KEYLESS GO button on the selector le-
ver. There is strong interference from a radio
source. 6
Start your vehic lewith the KEYLESS GO
key in the ignition lock. You have lost the KEYLESS GO key. 6
Have the KEYLESS GO ke ycancelled at
a Mercedes-Benz Servic eCentre.
6 Report the loss immediately to the ve-
hicle insurers.
6 If necessary, have the manual locks
