compartments when you are driving with the soT
to p open.
Pa rticular lyturbulent air can reduce the e.ect of
AIR CAP.This can occur when you are driving
behind ano ther vehicle or if there is a crosswind,
fo rex ample.
AIR CAP consists of thefo llowing components:
R a wind de0ector abo vethe windscreen
R a draught stop behind the two rear seat head
re straints
When AI RCAP is activated, the wind de0ector and
th e draught stop will extend simultaneousl y.AIR
CAP can be activated or deactivated at speeds
of up toappr oximately 160 km/h. &

boot separator.
R The boot lid is open. #
Close the boot lid (/ page 82). R
The soT top has been opened and closed se v-
eral times in a ro w.The soT top drive has
been switched o. automatically and will be
av ailable again aTer appr oximately ten
minutes. #
Repeat the opening or closing procedure aTer
appr oximately ten minutes.
R You are driving at a speed greater than
60 km/h. #
Reduce your speed tobelow 60 km/h.
R The soT top mechanical components or con-
trol system are defective. #

Adjust the backrest positions of the front
seats. The
folding draught stop is /t tedover there ar
seats toprotect against wind when you are driving
with the soT top open. Only the front seats can be
occupied when thefo lding draught stop is /t ted.
The bag containing thefo lding draught stop is
attached totheth ro ugh-loading feature behind
th ere ar seats. If theth ro ugh-loading feature is
being used, loosen the bag's lashing strap and
st ow it in the boot. Fasten the lashing strap tothe
luggage hook.
Yo u should preferably per form operations in volv-
ing thefo lding draught stop on the side of the
ve hicle facing away from tra1c. #
Open all side windo wsand the soT top. #

The reve rsing function does not react:
R tosoT, light and thin objects, e.g. /n gers.
R during resetting. The
reve rsing function cannot pr event some-
one from becoming trapped in these situa-
tions. #
During the closing process, make sure
th at no body parts are in the closing
area. #
If someone becomes trapped, press the
W button toopen the side window

matic closing, the side window concerned will
open again slightl y.ATer an other automatic clos-
ing process, the automatic function may be deac-
tivated. The automatic function will be active
