The wheel or tyre size and the tyre type of the
emer gency spa rewheel or spare wheel and
th e wheel tobe replaced may di.er. The emer-
ge ncy spa rewheel or spare wheel can signi/-
cantly impair driving characteristics of the
ve hicle.
To prev ent hazardous situations: #
Drive carefull y. #
Never /t more than one emer gency
spa rewheel or spare wheel that di.ers
in size. #
Only use an emer gency spa rewheel or
spare wheel brie0y. #
Do not deacti vate ESP ®
. #
Have the emer gency spa rewheel or
spare wheel of a di.erent size replaced
at the nearest quali/ed specialist work- shop. The new wheel must ha
vethe cor-
re ct dimensions. %
The emer gency spa rewheel is secured in the
emer gency spa rewheel bag in the boot.
Obser vethefo llowing no tes on /tting an emer-

R The maximum permissible speed with an
emer gency spa rewheel /tted is 80 km/h.
R Do not /t the emer gency spa rewheel with
snow chains.
R Replace the emer gency spa rewheel aTer six
ye ars at the latest, rega rdless of wear.
R Check the tyre pressure of the emer gency
spa rewheel /tted. Cor rect the pressure as
necessar y.

If th e front passenger airbag is disabled, It will not be deplo yed in theev ent of an accident and cannot per form its

A person in the front passenger seat could then, forex ample, come into contact with theve hicle interior, especially
if th e person is sitting too close tothe dashboard. #
Beawa reofthe status of the front passenger airbag bo thbefore and during the journe y. #
Stop theve hicle immediately in accordance with the tra1c conditions. #
Make sure that no objects are trapped under the front passenger seat. #
Check the status of automatic front passenger airbag actuation (/ page 50).#

R Heavy rain, snow or fog
R Mist on the inside of the windscreen: in cer tain we ather conditions, mist can form onthe inside of the windscreen
during cold times of year in particular.
% This mist on the windscreen will be remo ved automatically within a short time with the aid of a heater. The restric-
tion is temp orar y.
