deactivated or activated.To deactivate or
activate the automatic door unlock system,
perform the following procedure:
1. Close all doors.
2. Place the ignition switch in the ON position.
3. Within 20 seconds of performing Step 2,
push and hold the power door lock switch to
the
position (UNLOCK) for more than 5
seconds.
4. When activated, the hazard indicator will flash twice. When deactivated, the hazard
indicator will flash once.
5. The ignition switch must be placed in the OFF and ON position again between each
setting change.
When the automatic door unlock system is
deactivated, the doors do not unlock when the
ignition switch is placed in the OFF position. To
unlock the door manually, use the inside lock
knob or the power door lock switch (driver's or
front passenger's side) .
LOCKING WITH MECHANICAL KEY
The driver's door will be locked or unlocked
using the mechanical key.
1. Press the rear end of the driver's outside door handle
*1to lift up the front end*2.
2. With the outside door handle lifted up, usethe mechanical key and turn the key cylinder
cap
*Acounterclockwise to remove.

The emergency trunk lid release mechanism
allows opening of the trunk lid in the event that
people become locked inside the trunk or in the
event of the loss of electrical power such as a
discharged battery.
Inside the trunk
To open the trunk lid from the inside, pull the
release handle
*1until the lock releases and
push up on the trunk lid. The release lever is
made of a material that glows in the dark after a
brief exposure to ambient light.
The handle is located on the back of the trunk lid
as illustrated.
From the passenger compartment
The trunk can be opened with the emergency
trunk lid opener located on the floor in front of
the passenger's seat.
1. Remove the board located on the floor in front of the passenger's seat.
2. Insert the mechanical key into the emer-gency trunk lid opener and turn it clockwise
until it stops.
NOTE:
Because the trunk rigidity has been in-
creased to handle the high load on the rear
spoiler during vehicle operation, more
force is required to operate the mechanical
key (particularly when the vehicle is new) .
Be sure to turn the key clockwise until it
stops.

OPENING THE FUEL-FILLER DOOR
1. Unlock the fuel-filler door by using one of thefollowing operations.
.Push the door handle request switch
with the Intelligent Key carried with you.
.Push the UNLOCK button on the In-
telligent Key.
.Push the power door lock switch to the
UNLOCK position.
2. Press the rear side of the fuel-filler door to release the door lock, and open the door.3. Turn the cap*1slowly counterclockwise to
remove it.
During refueling, place the cap on the inside
of the door
*2.
CLOSING THE FUEL-FILLER DOOR
1. Turn the cap clockwise until a single click
sound is heard.
2. Close the door. Lock the fuel-filler door by using one of the following operations.
. Push the door handle request switch with
the Intelligent Key carried with you.
. Push the LOCK button on the Intelligent
Key.

2. Fit the jack head into the recess*Aof the
jack-up point by turning the jackscrew
clockwise with your fingers.
3. Loosen each wheel nut one or two turns by turning counterclockwise with the wheel nut
wrench. Do not remove the wheel nuts
until the tire is off the ground.4. Carefully raise the vehicle until the tire clears the ground. To lift the vehicle, securely hold
the jack lever and rod with both hands as
shown above.

5. Remove the wheel nuts and then remove thewheel.
NOTE:
When putting a wheel on the ground,
put it down with the outer side of the
wheel facing up to prevent scratching
of the wheel surface.6. Clean any mud or dirt from the surfacebetween the brake disc rotor
*1and wheel
*2.
7. Tighten the wheel nuts by hand by turningthem clockwise until the tapered part
*Aof
each nut lightly contacts the seat part
*Bof
the wheel hole.
When replacing a front wheel, make sure the
hole in the wheel is aligned with the pin on
the brake disc rotor.

WHEEL LOCK NUTS (if so equipped)
In order to prevent theft, the specially designed
wheel lock nut
*1is installed on each wheel.
The wheel lock nut cannot be removed with
commonly used tools.
When removing tires, use the lock key
*2
provided with your vehicle.
Removing the wheel lock nut
To remove the wheel lock nut, use the lock key
stored under the passenger's side floor.
1. Insert the lock key to the wheel lock nut.
2. To remove the wheel lock nut, turn the lock key counterclockwise using the wheel nut
wrench.
CAUTION
.Do not use a power tool to remove
the wheel lock nuts.
. Tighten the wheel lock nuts to the
same tightening torque as the nor-
mal wheel nuts. (

The wheel lock nut has an individual
code. A lock key which does not match
the individual code cannot remove the
wheel lock nut. If you lose the wheel
lock key, contact a GT-R certified
NISSAN dealer immediately.
. Keep the key code card
*3in a safe
place. To purchase a lock key, contact a
GT-R certified NISSAN dealer with your
original code
*4on the key code card.
. When you ask for a service at a GT-R
certified NISSAN dealer, make sure to
keep the lock key in the vehicle. Other-
wise, tires cannot be removed and any
service requiring the removal of the
wheels cannot be performed.
