Y our vehicle canonly bedriven withtheIntelligent
K eys, which areregistered toyour vehicle's Intelligent
K ey system components andNISSAN Anti-Theft
System (NATS*) components. Asmany as4Intelligent
K eys can beregistered andused withonevehicle. The
new keys must beregistered byaNISSAN dealerprior
to use with theIntelligent Key system andNATS ofyour
vehicle. Sincetheregistration processrequires erasing
all memory inthe Intelligent Key components when
registering newkeys, besure totake allIntelligent Keys that
youhave tothe NISSAN dealer.

Key inside.

when driving. TheIntelligent Keyisapreci-

Ð The Intelligent Keyiswater resistant ;
however, wettingmaydamage theIn-
telligent Key.Ifthe Intelligent Keygets
wet, immediately wipeuntilitis com-
pletely dry.
Ð Do not bend, droporstrike itagainst
another object.
Ð Ifthe outside temperature isbelow -108C
(148F) degrees, thebattery ofthe In-
telligent Keymay notfunction properly.
Ð Do not place theIntelligent Keyforan
extended periodinaplace where tem-
peratures exceed608C(1408F) .
Ð Do not change ormodify theIntelligent
Key.
Ð Do not use amagnet keyholder.
Ð Do not place theIntelligent Keynear
equipment thatproduces amagnetic
field such asaTV ,audio equipment,

Since theIntelligent Key iscontinuously receivingradio
waves, ifthe key isleft near equipment whichtransmits
strong radiowaves, suchassignals fromaTV and
personal computer, thebattery lifemay become
shorter.
Because thesteering wheelislocked electrically (if
equipped) ,unlocking thesteering wheelwiththe
ignition switchinthe ªLOCKº position isimpossible
when thevehicle batteryiscompletely discharged. Pay
special attention thatthevehicle batteryisnot
completely discharged.
As many as4Intelligent Keys can beused withone
vehicle. Forinformation aboutthepurchase anduseof
additional IntelligentKeys, contact aNISSAN dealer.
CAUTION:
. Do not allow theIntelligent Key,which
contains electrical components, tocome
into contact withwater orsalt water. This
could affect thesystem function.
. Donot drop theIntelligent Key.

first character inthe name. To activate character
indexing, touchtheªA- Zº key inthe upper rightcorner
of the screen. Turn theENTER/Scroll dialtochoose
the number orletter tojump tointhe listand then push
the ENTER/Scroll dial.
If no character isselected afterthirty seconds, the
display returns tonormal.
Random andrepeat playmode:
