Theft protecti on
T h e I nf o t a i n m e nt s ys t em i s equ i p p e d w i t h
an ele ctronic the ft-de terre nt fe ature which
works by learning part of the Vehic le
Ide ntification Num ber (V IN).
The Infotainme nt s ys tem only w ork s in your
vehicle and is therefore of no value to
thieve s.
Retained Ac cessory Pow er (RAP)
This fe ature allows the Infotainme nt
system to be played even after the ignition
is turne d off.
Display
The following information can be shown on

– Radio inform ation,
–Time,
–Date,

–CD/MP3 information.Operation

The illumina ted dis play shows informa tion

When the Infotainm ent system is switched

previous volume se tting.

Turn the X e knob;

anticlockwis e to decre ase the volum e.

after the Infota inm ent system is switched

Audio I nformat ion
The following inform ation is s how n in

– Current wav eband or C D.
– Current station frequency,
CD track numb er or e lapse d track time.
– If the RDS function is active ,
the s tation nam e or s tation call lette rs
appea r on the dis play. Se e “RDS
(R adio Data S yste m)” on page 8 7.
– If th ere is a CD in th e CD s lo t,
the “CD” sy mbol illuminates on the
display . S ee “CD/ MP3 Play er” on
page 90 .
– If the C D is in rand om mode ,
the “RDM” sym bol illum inate s on the

Turn ignition key to ACC or RUN.

The Infotainm ent system switches on.
Pr e ss t h e MEN U 4 button until the
se t-up menu is dis playe d.
The clock option labe l appe ars on the

be changed from a 1 2 hour c lock to a
24 hour clock and from the date format
MM/DD/YYYY (month/day/year) to
DD/MM/YYYY (day/month/year).

button again to s top the s e ek a nd
scan.
The current station is displayed.

zThe radio only seeks and scans
s tations with a strong s igna l within the
selected waveband.Ra dio Data System (RDS)
RDS is a s ervice provide d by the radio
broadca ste rs which m akes it m uch e as ier
to find an F M s tation and helps to e ns ure
re ception is free from inte rfere nce .
zRDS is only pos sib le on the
FM wave band with F M stations that
broadcas t RDS information.
zWhen the radio is tuned to an FM-RDS
station, the s tation name or call letters
appe ar on the dis play.
zRDS re lies upon rece iving s pecific
information from F M-RDS s tations and
only works when the information is
available .
zIn e xtre mely rare c ase s, a radio sta tion
may broadcas t incorre ct inform ation
tha t causes radio features to work
inc orre ctly. Contact the radio station in
question for assistance.

zOpen side air vents.The c om fort and general well-be ing of the
ve hicle occupants are to a large e xtent

hea ting setting.
On order to achieve temp erature
stratifica tion with the pleasant e ffe ct of
"c ool he ad and warm fee t", turn the air
distribution rotary switch toK orJ and
mov e the temp erature rotary sw itc h to any
position (in the mid-range with
te mperature stratification).
