The illus tra tions on the pre vious p ages
show the Infotainm ent system and the
steering wheel mounted rem ote control
buttons.
The rad io ha s a tota l of 36 s tation
me mories for a comb ination of both
wav ebands (FM , AM).
T h e RD S ( Radio D ata Sy ste m) fu n ctio n ality
mak es it much e as ie r to find an FM channel
and guarante es interfere nc e-free
rece ption. I t als o provide s add itional us eful
func tions.
You can enjoy b oth audio and MP3-CDs on
the inte grated CD play er. A six -d isc CD
play er 3 is als o available as an option.

Speed Compensated Volum e (SCV)
reg ulation. The volume re gulation se tting
can be change d.
The sound processor offers you a range of
pre se t equalization settings, to optimise
the sound.An enhanc ed, hig h-powe r audio am plifie r

sy ste m are available as an option.

Theft protecti on

works by learning part of the Vehic le
Ide ntification Num ber (V IN).
The Infotainme nt s ys tem only w ork s in your
vehicle and is therefore of no value to
thieve s.
Retained Ac cessory Pow er (RAP)
This fe ature allows the Infotainme nt
system to be played even after the ignition
is turne d off.

CD/MP3 player
This d evice play s s tandard c om mercial
CDs with a diame ter of 1 2 cm. Y ou can a ls o
play CDs with a d ia mete r of 8 cm with an
adap te r.
9Contoure d CDs (Shape C Ds) are not
suitable for playing.
9Do not insert DVDs into the CD driv e.
9Do not add labels to a dis c, as it could
get s tuck in the playe r. If a CD is
re corded on a pe rsonal computer (PC ),
only labe l the dis c on the top s ide using
a marke r pe n.
9Do not a tte mpt to p lay scratched or
damage d C Ds. Only us e CDs in good
condition, w ithout a lab el, loading
the m one CD at a time .
9No liability is acc epte d for damag e to
t he CD dr i ve ca u se d by t h e u s e o f
unsuita ble C Ds or from attempting to
insert more than one CD into the slot at
a time .zAudio CDs are be ing manufacture d
with me cha nis ms to protec t them from
unauthorised reproduction. Howev er,
these me asure s do not comply with the
audio C D s pecification (Red Book )
acc ording to which a ll appliances for
play ing audio CDs have be en and a re
be ing de velope d. Y our Infotainme nt
system can play back CDs with the
typ es of copy p rotection known a t the
time the playe r is s old. Howe ver, this is
not a g uarante e that it w ill be able to
play b ack CDs with new v ariants of the
copy protection me chanis ms in the
future .
You can also play CD-Rs and CD-RW s w ith
MP3 m us ic file s a nd uncomp re s se d CD
audio file s (with “.CDA” file ex te nsion) on
the Infotainm ent system.
zW hile play ing a C D-R or CD-RW , the
s ound quality may be reduce d due to
dis c quality, the m ethod of recording,
the quality of the m usic that has be en
r e co rd ed, a n d t h e w a y t h e di sc h a s
be en handle d. There may be an
increa se in sk ipping, difficulty in
finding tracks , and/ or diffic ulty in
loading and e jecting. If the se proble ms
occur, chec k the bottom surface of the
disc. If the surface of the disc is
dam aged , e .g. crac ked, broke n, or
s cratched, the dis c will not play
prope rly.Switch on the Infotainment systemPress the X e kn ob.

The Infotainm ent system c an play discs
containing both uncompressed CD audio
file s (w ith “. CDA” file exte nsion) and
compres s ed a udio file s (MP3 files ).
By d efault, the s ys tem reads and play s only
the uncompres s ed a udio file s and ignore s
the MP3 files .
To switch be twee n uncompres s ed a nd
compres s ed file s, procee d as follow s;
Press the CAT 9 cate gory button.
The Infotainment s yste m will only read
and p lay the previous ly ignored file s.MP3-CD m usic navig ator
Us e the mus ic navigator fe ature to play
MP3 file s on the dis c in order by artis t or b y
album, as follows ;
You are listening to an MP3-C D.

CDs labe l side up pa rt of the way into
the CD slot i.
