When the navigation is used for the first time, or if the battery is discon-nected, the navigation system must be initialised.
To do this, park the vehicle in the open so that it can make contact with a satellite then turn the ignition key to the Running position for fifteen minutes.
Certain functions or services de-scribed may vary depending on the version of CD ROM or the country where the vehicle is sold.
For safety reasons, the in-putting of navigation infor-mation by the driver must be carried out when the vehicle is stationary.

The satellite navigation system guides you, by means of vocal and visual in-structions (graphics), to your chosen destination.
The heart of the system lies in the use of a map database andGPS (Global Positioning System). With this system you can fix the position of your vehicle by means of a satel-lite network.
