RDS *
Using the RDS on FM
The RDS (Radio Data System) allows
you to continue listening to the same
station, whatever frequency it is using
in the region you are travelling through. Press the "RDS" button
briefl y to switch the func-
tion on or off.
The multifunction display will indicate:
- "RDS" if the function is selected,
- "(RDS)" if the function is selected
but not available.
RDS station following
The display indicates the name of the
station selected. When the RDS is se-
lected, the radio searches continuously
for the transmitter which is broadcasting
the selected station with the best recep-
tion.
Traffi c information programme (TA) Regional following mode (REG)
When they are part of a network, cer-
tain stations broadcast regional pro-
grammes in the various areas they
serve. The regional following mode
allows you to continue listening to the
same programme.
To do this, press the
"RDS" button for
more than two seconds to switch the
function on or off.
Any traffi c information announcement
will be given priority, whatever source
you are listening to (radio, CD).
If you wish to interrupt a message,
press the
"TA" button; this switches the
function off.

Note: the volume of the traffi c infor-
mation is independent of the volume
of normal radio listening. You can
adjust it using the volume button.
The setting will be stored and will be
used for subsequent messages.
Search by type of programme (PTY)
This allows you to listen to stations broad-
casting a specifi c type of programme
(News, Culture, Sport, Rock...). When FM is selected,
press the "TA" button for
more than two seconds
to switch the function on
or off. To search for a
PTY programme:
- select the PTY function,
- press button J or L briefl y to scroll
down the list of the different types of
programme offered,
- when the programme of your choice is displayed, press button J or L for
more than two seconds to carry out
an automatic search (following an
automatic search, the PTY function
is switched off).
In PTY mode, the types of programme
can be stored. To do this, press the
preselection buttons "1" to "6" for more
than two seconds. Press the corre-
sponding button briefl y to recall the type
of programme stored.
EON system
This system connects stations which
are part of the same network. It permits
the broadcasting of TA traffi c informa-
tion or of a PTY programme broadcast
by a station which is part of the same
network as the station to which you are
listening.
This service is available when you have
selected the TA traffi c information pro-
gramme or the PTY search by type of
programme.
Press the
"TA" button to
switch the function on or
off.
The multifunction display will indicate:
- "TA" if the function is selected,
- "(TA)" if the function is selected but
not available.

the current track or to select the previous
track.
Accelerated play
Press and hold button J or L for for-
wards or backwards accelerated play.
Accelerated play stops as soon as the
button is released. Random play (RDM)
When the CD player is selected, press
button
N for two seconds. The tracks
will be played in random order. Pressing
button N again for two seconds returns
you to normal play.
The random play mode is switched
off each time the audio equipment is
switched off.
The use of copied compact discs
may cause faults.
Insert circular compact discs only.
Press button
D to eject
the disc from the player.
After inserting a disc,
printed face uppermost,
the player starts auto-
matically.
If the player already contains a disc,
press button N .

Quality of the fuel used for petrol engines
The petrol engines are perfectly compatible with E5 type pet rol biofuels (containing 5 % ethanol), conforming to European
standard EN 228.
E85 type fuels (containing up to 85 % ethanol) are reserved e xclusively for vehicles marketed for the use of this type of fuel
(BioFlex vehicles). The quality of the ethanol must comply with European standard EN 15 376.
For Brazil only, special vehicles are marketed to run on fuels co ntaining up to 100 % ethanol (type E100).
