After changing a wheel
To store the punctured wheel in the
b o o t c o r r e c t l y , fi r s t r e m o v e t h e c e n -
tral cover.
Have the tightening of the bolts and
the pressure of the spare wheel
checked by a PEUGEOT dealer
without delay.
Have the punctured wheel repaired
and replace it on the vehicle as
soon as possible.
Fitting the wheel
List of operations
Put the wheel in place on the hub.
Screw in the bolts by hand to the
stop.
Pre-tighten the security bolt us-
ing the wheelbrace 1 fi t t e d w i t h t h e
security socket 4 (if your vehicle is
e q u i p p e d w i t h t h i s ) .
Pre-tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.
Lower the vehicle fully.
Fold the jack 2 and detach it.
Tighten the security bolt using the
wheelbrace 1 fi t t e d w i t h t h e s e c u r i t y
socket 4 (if your vehicle is equipped
w i t h t h i s ) .
Lock the other bolts using the wheel-
brace 1 only.
R e fi t t h e c h r o m e d b o l t c o v e r s o n
each of the bolts.

BATTERY
Procedure for charging your battery
w h e n i t i s fl a t o r f o r s t a r t i n g t h e e n g i n e
using another battery.
Access to the battery Starting using another battery
Connect the red cable to the posi-
t i v e t e r m i n a l ( + ) o f t h e fl a t b a t t e r y A ,
t h e n t o t h e p o s i t i v e t e r m i n a l ( + ) o f
the slave battery B .
Connect one end of the green or
black cable to the negative terminal
( - ) o f t h e s l a v e b a t t e r y B .
Connect the other end of the green
or black cable to an earth point C on
the broken down vehicle, as far as
p o s s i b l e f r o m t h e b a t t e r y ( f o r e x a m -
p l e , r i g h t - h a n d e n g i n e m o u n t i n g ) .
Operate the starter, let the engine
run.
Wait until the engine returns to idle
and disconnect the cables.
The battery is located under the bonnet
on the left.
T o g a i n a c c e s s t o i t :
open the bonnet using the interior
l e v e r , t h e n t h e e x t e r i o r l e v e r ,
secure the bonnet strut,
remove the plastic cover to gain
access to the two terminals.

TOWING THE VEHICLE
Procedure for having your vehicle towed or for towing another vehicle using a removable towing eye.
Access to the tools Towing your vehicle
On the front bumper, unclip the cover by pressing at the bottom.
Screw the towing eye in fully.
Install the towing bar.
Switch on the hazard warning lamps
on the towed vehicle.
On the rear bumper, unclip the cover by pressing at the bottom.
Screw the towing eye in fully.
Install the towing bar.
Switch on the hazard warning lamps
on the towed vehicle.
Towing another vehicle
The towing eye is stowed in the boot
u n d e r t h e fl o o r .
T o g a i n a c c e s s t o i t :
open the boot,
r a i s e t h e fl o o r ,
secure it by hooking its cord on the hook on the shelf support,
remove the towing eye from the holder.
When towing with all four wheels
on the ground, always use a tow-
ing bar.

Pressing this button again immediately cancels the request. The green diode switches off.

This call is dealt with by the PEUGEOT Emergency t eam which receives locating information from the vehicle and can send a detailed alert to the appropriate emergency services. If an impact is detected by the airbag ECU, and in dependently of any triggering of the airbags, an emergency call is mad e automatically.

When the ignition is switched on, the green indicator lamp comes on for 3 seconds indicating that the system is operating correctly.
