Warning lamp is on Cause Action/Observations

Maximum
coolant
temperature fi xed red.
The temperature of the
cooling system is too high. Stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
Wait until the engine has cooled down before
topping up the level, if necessary.
If the problem persists, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer.

Engine oil
pressure fi xed. There is a fault with the
engine lubrication system. Stop as soon it is safe to do so.
Park, switch off the ignition and contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.

Battery
charge fi xed. The battery charging circuit
has a fault (dirty or loose
terminals, slack or cut
alternator belt, ...). This lamp should switch off when the engine is
started.
If it does not switch off, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer.

Door(s) open fi xed if the
speed is
below 6 mph (10 km/h).
A door, the boot or the rear
screen is still open. Close the door or boot.
fi xed and
accompanied
by an audible signal if the speed is
above 6 mph (10 km/h).

Directional
headlamps fl ashing. The directional headlamps
system is faulty. Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.

With the audio equipment switched on,
once the "Radio-CD" menu has been
selected you can activate or deacti-
vate the functions linked with use of the
radio (RDS, REG) or the CD (introscan,
shuffl e, CD repeat).
For more information on the "Radio-
CD" application, refer to the Peugeot
Connect Sound part of the "Audio and
Telematics" section.

The condensation created by the
air conditioning results in a dis-
charge of water under the vehicle
which is perfectly normal.
In order for these systems to be fully effective, follow the operation and main-
tenance guidelines below:

 To obtain an even air distribution, take care not to obst ruct the exterior air
intake grilles located at the base of the windscreen, the n ozzles, the vents
and the air outlets, as well as the air extractor located in the boot.

 Do not cover the sunshine sensor, located on the dashboard ; this is used
for regulation of the air conditioning system.

 Operate the air conditioning system for at least 5 to 10 mi nutes, once or
twice a month to keep it in perfect working order.

 Ensure that the passenger compartment fi lter is in good condit ion and
have the fi lter elements replaced regularly (refer to the "Checks" section).
We recommend the use of a combined passenger compartment fi lter .
Thanks to its special active additive, it contributes to the p urifi cation of
the air breathed by the occupants and the cleanliness of the passenger
compartment (reduction of allergic symptoms, bad odours and greasy
deposits).

 To guarantee correct operation of the air conditioning syste m, you are also
advised to have it checked regularly as recommended in the Warranty and
Maintenance Record.

 If the system does not produce cold air, deactiva te it and contact a PEUGEOT
dealer.
When towing the maximum load on a steep gradient in high temperatures,
switching off the air conditioning increases the available e ngine power and so
improves the towing ability.
If after an extended stop in sunshine, the interior tempe rature is very high, fi rst
ventilate the passenger compartment for a few moments.
Put the air fl ow control at a setting high enough to qui ckly change the air in the
passenger compartment.
The air conditioning system does not contain chlorine and do es not present
any danger to the ozone layer.

Bench seat the left-hand part (2/3) or
right-hand part (1/3) of which can be
folded to adapt the load space in the
boot. Never drive with the head restraints
removed; they must be in place and
correctly adjusted.
As the head restraints are not inter-
changeable, take care to put them
back in their original position when
refi tting.
Rear head restraints
These have a high position (comfort)
and a low position (rear visibility).
They can also be removed; to remove them:

 pull the head restraint upwards to
the stop,

 then, press the lug.
6. Armrests (except 3-door)
These can be folded down and are re-
movable.

 To remove an armrest, press the
button located between the armrest
and the side of the seat and pull it
off.

Hooks

Rear parcel shelf (Saloon)
To remove the shelf:

 unhook the two cords,

 raise the shelf slightly, then remove it. The hooks can be used to secure shop-
ping bags.
When changing a wheel
The hooks facilitate access to the
spare wheel by holding up the boot
carpet by its cord.
You have two storage options:
- either upright behind the front seats,
- or upright behind the rear seats.
