VISIBILITY
In fog or snow, the sunshine sensor
may detect suffi cient light. There-
fore, the lighting will not come on
automatically.
Do not cover the sunshine sensor,
coupled with the rain sensor and
located in the centre of the wind-
screen behind the rear view mirror;
the associated functions would no
longer be controlled.

Coupling with the "Guide-me-home"
lighting
Association with the automatic illumina-
tion of headlamps provides the "guide-
me-home" lighting with the following
additional options:


- selection of the lighting duration to
15, 30 or 60 seconds in the vehi-
cle parameters in the multifunction
screen confi guration menu,

- automatic activation of "guide-me-
home" lighting when automatic illumi-
nation of headlamps is in operation.











Automatic illumination of headlamps

The sidelamps and dipped beam head-
lamps are switched on automatically, with-
out any action on the part of the driver, when
a low level of external light is detected (sen-
sor behind the rear view mirror) or when the
windscreen wipers are switched on.
As soon as the brightness returns to a suf-
fi cient level or after the windscreen wipers
are switched off, the lighting is switched off
automatically.

"Guide-me-home" lighting

The dipped beam headlamps remain on
temporarily, after switching off the vehi-
cle's ignition, to make the driver's exit
easier in poor light.

Activation

With the ignition off, activate a
"headlamp fl ash" using stalk B
.

A second "headlamp fl ash" switches
the function off again.


Switching off
The "guide-me-home" lighting is switched
off automatically following the door lock-
ing command, after a given time.


Activation

Turn ring A
to the " AUTO
" position.
The automatic illumination of head-
lamps is accompanied by a mes-
sage in the multifunction screen.


Deactivation


)
Turn ring A
to a position other than
" AUTO
". Deactivation is accompa-
nied by a message in the multifunction
screen.

Operating fault
In the event of a malfunction of
the brightness sensor, the light-
ing comes on accompanied by
the service warning lamp, an
audible signal and a message on the
multifunction screen.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer
or a qualifi ed workshop.

VISIBILITY
WIPER CONTROL STALK
System for the selection and control of
the various windscreen wiping modes
permitting the dispersal of rain and
cleaning.
The vehicle's windscreen wipers are
designed to gradually improve the driv-
er's visibility in relation to the weather
conditions.


Manual controls

The wiping commands are made directly
by the driver using stalk A
.
fast (heavy rain),
normal (moderate rain),
intermittent (in proportion to
the speed of the vehicle),
off,
single wipe (press downwards),

Pull the windscreen wiper stalk to-
wards you. The screenwash then the
wipers operate for a fi xed period.
The headlamp wash is only activate if
the dipped headlamps are on
.
With daytime running lamps, to
activate the headlamp wash, posi-
tion the lighting stalk in the dipped
beam position.
On vehicles fi tted with digital air
conditioning, any action on the
windscreen wash control results in
temporary closing of the air intake
to avoid odours inside the passen-
ger compartment. Automatic wiping is not available
on the 207CC at present.

Special position of the windscreen
wipers
In the minute following switching off of
the ignition, any action on the stalk po-
sitions the wipers vertically on the wind-
screen.
This action enables you to position the
wiper blades for winter parking.
To park the wipers after this has been
done, switch on the ignition and operate
the stalk.

In this position, the courtesy
lamp comes on gradually:

With the ignition on, press the cor-
responding switch.
With the "permanent lighting" mode,
the duration of lighting varies, de-
pending on the circumstances:


- with the ignition off, approxi-
mately ten minutes,

- in energy economy mode, ap-
proximately thirty seconds,

- with the engine running, unlimited.




- when the vehicle is unlocked,

- when the key is removed from the
ignition,

- when a door is opened,

- when the remote control locking but-
ton is activated, in order to locate
your vehicle.
It switches off gradually:


- when the vehicle is locked,

- when the ignition is switched on,

-
30 seconds after the last door is closed.

Permanently off.

The fuse box is placed in the engine
compartment, near the battery (left-
hand side).

Unclip the cover.

cover carefully to ensure the sealing
of the fuse box.

A fl at battery prevents the engine
from starting (refer to the corre-
sponding paragraph). If a roof operation is in progress,
it will be completed, but no further
operation is possible.
ENERGY ECONOMY MODE

System which manages the duration of
use of certain functions to conserve a
suffi cient level of charge in the battery.
After the engine has stopped, you can
still use functions such as the audio
equipment, windscreen wipers, dipped
beam headlamps, courtesy lamp, etc.
for a maximum combined duration of
thirty minutes.
Exiting economy mode
These functions are reactivated auto-
matically next time the vehicle is driven.


)
In order to resume the use of these
functions immediately, start the
engine and let it run for a few minutes.
The time available to you will then be
double the duration for which the engine
is left running. However, this period will al-
ways be between fi ve and thirty minutes.
Switching to economy mode

Once the thirty minutes are over, a
message appears on the multifunction
screen indicating that the vehicle has
switched to economy mode and the ac-
tive functions are put on standby.
CHANGING A WIPER BLADE
Procedure for replacing a worn wiper
blade with a new one without the use
of tools.

Removing a front wiper blade

Raise the corresponding wiper arm.

Unclip the wiper blade and remove it.



Fitting a front wiper blade

Check the size of the wiper blade
as the shorter blade is fi tted on the
right-hand side of the vehicle.

Put the corresponding new wiper
blade in place and clip it.

Fold down the wiper arm carefully.

LOAD REDUCTION MODE

System which manages the use of cer-
tain functions according to the level of
charge remaining in the battery.
When the vehicle is being driven, the load
reduction function temporarily deactivates
certain functions, such as the air condi-
tioning, the heated rear screen...
The deactivated functions are reactivated
automatically as soon as conditions permit.
