Triggering
This is indicated by sounding of the si-ren and flashing of the direction indica-tors for approximately thirty seconds.
After it has been triggered, the alarm is again operational.
Failure of the remote control
Unlock the vehicle using the key in the driver’s door lock.
 Open the door; the alarm is trig-gered.
 Switch on the ignition; the alarm stops.

Malfunction
When the ignition is switched on, light-ing of the indicator light on button A for ten seconds indicates a siren fault.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon as possible.
Locking the vehicle without alarm
Lock or deadlock the vehicle using the key in the driver’s door lock.
Automatic operation*
Depending on the legislation in force in your country, one of these cases may occur:
- 45 seconds after the vehicle is locked using the remote control, the alarm is activated, regardless of the status of the doors and boot.- 2 minutes after the last door or the boot is closed, the alarm is activated.
To avoid triggering the alarm on entering the vehicle, first press the unlocking button on the remote con-trol.

WINDOW MECHANISMS
System which opens or closes a win-dow manually or automatically. It is fit-ted with a system which provides pro-tection if an obstacle is detected on the one-touch models and a system which controls all four windows on all models.
1. Driver’s electric windows switch.
2. Passenger’selectric windows switch.
Each window mechanism controls, on its own side, the front window and the rear quarter light.
One-touch electric windows
Safety auto-reverse on the front windows
In automatic mode, when the front win-dow rises and meets an obstacle, it stops and partially lowers again.
Electric windows
 Press or pull switch 1. The window stops as soon as the switch is released.
The rear quarter light only opens once the front window has ope-ned completely.
You have two options :
- manual mode
 Press or pull switch 1 gently. The window stops as soon as the switch is released.
The rear quarter light only opens once the front window has opened completely.
- automatic mode
 Press or pull switch 1 fully. Depend-ing on the version,either the window opens or closes completely, or the window closes completely, when the switch is released.
 Pressing the switch again stops the movement of the window.
 If you continue to press the switch, the rear quarter light will open or close.

Switch for all four windows
This switch opens or closes all of the windows.
Reinitialisation
Following reconnection of the battery or in the event of a malfunction you must reinitialise the operation of the electric windows:
 release the switch and pull it again until it closes completely,
 hold the switch for approximately one second after closing,
 press the switch to lower the window automatically,
 when the window has reached the low position, press the switch again for approximately one second.
The safety auto-reverse function is not active during these operations.
 Press switch 3 and release it. The windows open completely.
or
 Pull switch 3 and hold it in this posi-tion. The windows close completely.
If you release the switch before the windows have closed completely, the windows stop.
 Pressing the switch again stops the movement of the windows.

DOORS
Opening
From outside
 After unlocking the vehicle using the remote control or the key, pull the door handle.
The window lowers automatically by a few millimetres when the door is opened.
From inside
 Pull the door control to open the door; this unlocks the doors only.
The window lowers automatically by a few millimetres when the door is opened.
Closing
The window rises automatically after a few seconds and adjusts to guarantee perfect sealing on closing.
If a door is not closed correctly:
- when the engine is running,this warning light comes on, accompanied by a message on the multifunction display for a few seconds,- when the vehicle is moving (speed above 6 mph (10 km/h)), this warn-ing light comes on, accompanied by an audible signal and a message on the multifunction display for a few sec-onds.

Manual centralised control
System which provides full manual lock-ing or unlocking of the doors and boot from the inside.
Locking
 Press button A to lock the vehicle.
The red indicator light on the button comes on.
Unlocking
 With the key in the ignition, press but-ton A again to unlock the vehicle.AA
The red indicator light on the button switches off.

Emergency control
System which locks or unlocks the doors mechanically in the event of a malfunc-tion of the central locking.
 Insert the key in the lock, located on the edge of the door, then turn it one eighth of a turn.
Locking the driver’s door
 Insert the key in the lock, then turn it to the right.
Unlocking the driver’s door
 Insert the key in the lock, then turn it to the left.
Locking the passenger door
Unlocking the passenger door
 Pull the interior door opening control.
Automatic centralised control
System which provides full automatic locking or unlocking of the doors and boot while driving.
You can activate or deactivate this func-tion.
Activation
 Press button A for more than two seconds.
A confirmation message appears on the multifunction display.
Unlocking
 Above 6 mph (10 km/h), press but-ton A to unlock the doors and boot temporarily.
Locking
When the speed exceeds 6 mph (10 km/h), the doors and boot lock automatically.
Deactivation
 Press button A again for more than two seconds.
A confirmation message appears on the multifunction display.

BOOT
Opening
 After unlocking the boot or the vehi-cle using the remote control or the key, pull the handle and raise the tailgate.
Unlocking and partially opening the boot
 Press the boot unlocking button on the remote control. The boot opens slightly.
Boot anti-theft protection
The boot is designed to remain impreg-nable, even in the "cabriolet" configura-tion.
So, when the vehicle is locked and the roof is open, the boot cannot be un-locked:
- by means of the interior door opening control,- by pressing the manual centralised control A, when the key is not in the starter.
- when the engine is running,this warning light comes on, accompanied by a message on the multifunction display for a few seconds,
- when the vehicle is moving (speed above 6 mph (10 km/h)), this warning light comes on, accompanied by an audible signal and a message on the multifunction display for a few seconds.
Closing
 Lower the tailgate using the interior grab handle.
If the tailgate is not closed correctly:

FUEL TANK
Reservoir which should be refilled with fuel, when the minimum level has been detected.
Fuel tank capacity: approximately 50 litres.
To fill the tank in complete safety :
it is imperative that the engine is switched off,
 open the fuel filler flap,
 insert the key in the cap, then turn it to the left,
When you have filled the tank :
 put the cap back in place,
 turn the key to the right, then remove it from the cap,
 close the flap.
 remove the cap and hook it onto the clip located on the inside of the flap,
 fill the tank, but do not continue after the 3rd cut-off of the pump; this could cause malfunctions.
Low fuel level
When the fuel tank minimum level is reached, this warning light comes on on the instru-ment panel.
The distance which can be travelled with the fuel remaining is approximately 30 miles (50 km).
If you run out of fuel, refer also to the "Practical information" section.
Filling
A label affixed to the inside of the flap reminds you of the type of fuel to be used depending on your engine.

LIGHTING CONTROLS
System for selection and control of the various front and rear lights providing the vehicle’s lighting.
Manual controlsThe lighting commands are made di-rectly by the driver by means of ring A and lever B.
A. main lighting mode selection ring, with:
Model without AUTO lighting
Model with AUTO lighting
lights off,
side lights only,
dipped or main beam headlamps,
B. lever for inversion of the lights by pulling:
dipped headlamps/main beam headlamps.
In the lights off and side lights modes, the driver can switch on the main beam headlamps directly ("headlamp flash") for as long as he pulls the lever.

Displays
The corresponding indicator light comes on on the instrument panel to confirm the selective switching on of the lighting selected.
Main lighting
The vehicle’s various front and rear lights are designed to adapt the driver’s visibility gradually in relation to the cli-matic conditions:
- side lights, to be seen,- dipped headlamps to see without dazzling other drivers,- main beam headlamps for good visibility when the road is clear.
Additional lighting
Other lights are installed to respond to particular driving conditions:
- rear fog lamps to be seen from a dis-tance,- front fog lamps for even better visibility,- directional headlamps for improved visibility around bends.
Programmes
Various automatic lighting control modes are also available according to the following options:
- "follow-me-home" lighting,- automatic lighting,- static directional lighting.

Model with front and rear fog lamps
front and rear fog lamps
C. fog lamps selection ring.
These operate with the dipped and main beam headlamps.
 To switch on the fog lamps, turn push ring C forwards.
 To switch off the rear fog lamps, turn push ring C rearwards twice in suc-cession.
When the lights are switched off auto-matically (on AUTO model) or when the dipped headlamps are switched off manually, the fog lamps and the side lights will remain on.
 Turn the ring rearwards to switch off the fog lamps, the side lights will then switch off.
This indicator light comes on on the instrument panel.

Daytime lights*
On vehicles fitted with daytime lights, the dipped headlamps come on when the vehicle is started.
The instruments and controls (instru-ment panel, multifunction display, air conditioning control panel, ...) are not lit, unless the automatic switching on of the lights mode is activated or the lights are switched on manually.
