Folding the key
)
First press this button to fold the key.
If you do not press the button whenfolding the key, there is a risk of damage to the mechanism.


If one of the doors or the boot is stillopen or if an electronic key has beenleft inside the vehicle, the central locking does not take place.
When the vehicle is locked, if it is unlocked inadver tently, it will relock automatically after about thir ty seconds unless a door is opened.

The folding and unfolding of the door mirrors by the remote control can be deactivated by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

Locking / unlocking from the inside
)Press the switch.This allows the doors and the boot to be locked or unlocked.


Driving with the doors locked may makeaccess to the passenger compartmentby the emergency services moredifficult in an emergency.

If one of the doors is open, the doorsare not locked.
When locking / deadlocking fromoutsideWhen the vehicle is locked or deadlocked from outside, the switchdoes not operate. )After normal locking, pull theinterior door lever to unlock the vehicle. )After deadlocking, you have to use
the remote control or the key to unlock the vehicle.


Automatic central locking of the doors

The doors can lock automatically while driving (speed above 6 mph [10 km/h]).
To turn this function on or off (on by default). )press and hold the button until there is anaudible signal and/or a message in the
screen.

Changing the battery

Battery ref.: CR1620 / 3 volts.
Do not throw the remote control batteries away, they contain metalswhich are harmful to the environment.
Take them to an approved collectionpoint.

Switch off the ignition.)
Turn the key to position 2 (Ignition).)
Press the closed padlock immediately for a
few seconds.) Switch off the ignition and remove the key
from the ignition switch.
The remote control is fully operational again. Followin
g disconnection of the vehicle battery,replacement of the remote control battery or in the event of a remote control malfunction, you can no longer unlock, lock or locate your
vehicle.) First of all, use the key in the lock to unlock
or lock your vehicle.) Then, reinitialise the remote control.

Lost keys
Go to a PEUGEOT dealer with the vehicle's registration document, your personal identification documents and if possible the key code label. The PEUGEOT dealer will be able to look up the key code and the transponder code required to order a new key.
Remote control
The high frequency remote control is a sensitive system; do not operate it while it is in your pocket as there is a possibility that it may unlock the vehicle, without you being aware of it.
Do not repeatedly press the buttons of your remote control out of range and out of sight of your vehicle. You run the risk of stopping it fromworking and the remote control would have to be reinitialised.No remote control can operate when the key is in the ignition switch, even when the ignition is switched off, except for reinitialisation.
Locking the vehicle
Driving with the doors locked may make access to the passenger compar tment by the emergency services more difficult in an emergency.
As a safety precaution, never leave children alone in the vehicle, except for a very shor t period. In all cases, it is essential to remove the key from the ignition switch when leaving the vehicle.
Anti-theft protection
Do not make any modifications to the electronic engine immobiliser system; this could cause malfunctions.
When purchasing a second-hand vehicle
Have the pairing of all of the keys in your possession checked by a PEUGEOT dealer, to ensure that only your keys can be used to open andstart the vehicle.

System which protects and provides a deterrent
against theft and break-ins. It provides the
following types of monitoring.





Alarm


- Exterior perimeter

The system checks for opening of the vehicle.
The alarm is triggered if anyone tries to open a
door, the boot, the bonnet...




- Interior volumetric

The system checks for any variation in the
volume in the passenger compartment.
The alarm is triggered if anyone breaks a
window, enters the passenger compar tment or
moves inside the vehicle.
Self-protection function
The system checks for the putting out of service of its components. The alarm is triggered if the battery, thecentral control or the wires of the siren are put out of ser vice or damaged.
For all work on the alarm system, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or aqualified workshop.
Locking the vehicle with full
alarm system
Activation
)Switch off the ignition and get out of the vehicle.
) Press the locking button on the
remote control.
After the locking button on the remote control
is pressed, the exterior perimeter monitoring
is activated after a delay of 5 seconds and the
interior volumetric monitoring after a delay of 45 seconds.
If an opening (door, boot...) is not closed fully, the vehicle is not locked but the exterior
perimeter monitoring will be activated after a
dela
y of 45 seconds at the same time as the
interior volumetric monitoring.
)
Press the unlocking button on
the remote control.

Deactivation

The alarm system is deactivated: the
indicator lamp in the button goes off.
The monitoring system is active: the
indicator lamp in the button
flashes once per second.

Deactivate the interior volumetric monitoring
to avoid unwanted triggering of the alarm incertain cases such as:
- leaving a pet in the vehicle,
- leaving a window par tially open,
- washing your vehicle.
Deactivation of the interior volumetric monitoring

Switch off the ignition. )
Within ten seconds, press the button until the indicator lamp is
on continuously. ) Get out of the vehicle.
)
Press the locking button on the
remote control immediately.
The exterior perimeter monitorin
g alone is activated: the indicator lamp in the buttonflashes once per second.

Reactivation of the interior volumetric monitoring


Tr iggering of the alarm


This is indicated by sounding of the siren and flashing of the direction indicators for thirty seconds.
The monitoring functions remain active until
the alarm has been triggered eleven times in succession.
)Press the unlocking button on
the remote control to deactivate
the exterior perimeter monitoring.
) Press the locking button on theremote control to activate all themonitoring functions.
The indicator lamp in the button

When the vehicle is unlocked usin

is switched on, this flashing stops immediately.



Failure of the remote control

To deactivate the monitoring functions:

Locking the vehicle without
activating the alarm
)Lock or deadlock the vehicle using the keyin the driver's door lock.


Malfunction


When the ignition is switched on, fixed
illumination of the indicator lamp in the button
indicates a mal
function of the system.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

Automatic activation *



2 minutes after the last door or the boot isclosed, the system is activated automatically. )To avoid triggering the alarm on entering
the vehicle, first press the unlocking buttonon the remote control. To be effective, this deactivation mustbe carried out each time the ignition is switched off.
