Changing a bulb
Front lamps
A. Model with light guide
In some weather conditions (e.g. low
temperature or humidity), the presence
of misting on the internal sur face of the
glass of the headlamps and rear lamps
is normal; it disappears after the lamps
have been on for a few minutes.
The headlamps are fitted with
polycarbonate glass with a protective
coating:

o not clean them using a dr y
or abrasive cloth, nor with a
detergent or solvent product,
F
u
se a sponge and soapy water or
a pH neutral product,
F
w
hen using a high pressure washer
on persistent marks, do not keep
the lance directed towards the
lamps or their edges for too long,
so as not to damage their protective
coating and seals.
B. Model without light guide

Changing a bulb should only be done
after the headlamp has been switched
off for several minutes (risk of serious
burns).
F

o not touch the bulb directly with
your fingers, use a lint-free cloth.
It is imperative to use only anti-
ultraviolet (
uV
) type bulbs to avoid
damaging the headlamp.
Always replace a failed bulb with a
new bulb with the same type and
specification.

Amber coloured bulbs, such as the
direction indicators, must be replaced
with bulbs of identical specifications
and colour.
When refitting, close the protective
cover carefully to preserve the sealing
of the headlamp.
Rapid flashing of the direction indicator
warning lamp (right or left) indicates the
failure of a bulb on that side.
Changing direction indicator
bulbs
F Turn the bulb holder a quarter of a turn and
extract it.

ull out the bulb and change it.
To reassemble, carry out these operations in
reverse order.

Changing main beam headlamp bulbs
F Remove the protective cover by pulling on the tab.F Disconnect the bulb connector.
F P ull out the bulb and replace it.
Changing daytime running lamp /
sidelamp bulbs
F Turn the bulb holder a quarter turn and pull it out.

ull out the bulb and replace it.
To reassemble, carry out these operations in
reverse order.

Changing dipped beam headlamp
bulbs
F Remove the protective cover by pulling on the tab.

isconnect the bulb connector.

Spread the spring to release the bulb (model A ).F extract the bulb and change it.
To reassemble, carry out these operations in
reverse order, positioning the alignment lug at
the bottom (model A) or at the top (model B ).

pressing on the top of the tongue.

F Press the central tongue and remove the side repeater.

nsert a flat screwdriver between the mirror
glass and its base.

e the screwdriver as a lever to extract
the mirror glass.

Changing brake lamp, reversing lamp and direction indicator bulbs
These three bulbs are changed from inside the boot:F

pen the boot,

emove the access grille from the
corresponding side trim panel,
F
s
lacken and remove the nut,
F
d
isconnect the lamp unit connector,
F
u
nclip the lamp unit carefully extract it
pulling in line towards the outside, F
p
ress the four tabs and remove the bulb
h o l d e r,
F
t
urn the bulb a quarter of a turn and
change it.
To reassemble, carry out these operations in
reverse order.
Take care to engage the lamp unit in its guides,
while keeping it in line with the vehicle.
Tighten sufficiently to ensure sealing, but
without damaging the lamp.

Changing the third brake lamp
bulbs
F unscrew the fixing pins on each side of the lamp, without removing them completely.

ush on the screws to unclip the lamp.
F
D
isconnect the lamp connector.
F
R
emove the lamp from the outside.
F
T
urn the bulb holder which corresponds
to the faulty bulb one quarter of a turn and
remove it.
F
P
ull the bulb and change it.
To refit, carry out these operations in reverse
o r d e r.
Number plate lamps
To facilitate the removal of the lamp, carry out
this operation with the tailgate half open.

nsert a thin screwdriver into the lens
cutout.
F
P
ush it outwards.
F

emove the lens.
F
C
hange the faulty bulb.
To refit, press on the lens to clip it in place. Access is by passing a hand under the bumper.

T urn the bulb holder a quarter of a turn and
pull it out.
F
D
isconnect the connector on the bulb
h o l d e r.

ull the bulb out and change it.
To refit, carry out these operations in reverse
o r d e r.

Changing a fuse
The extraction tweezer is fitted to the back of
the fusebox cover located inside the glove box.

pen the glove box lid,

nclip the fusebox cover by pulling at the
top right,

isengage the cover completely and turn it
ove r,

F remove the carrier on which the tweezer is fitted.

To replace a fuse, you must:
F u se the special tweezer to extract the fuse
from its housing and check the condition of
its filament.
F
a
lways replace the failed fuse with a fuse
of the same rating (same colour); using a
different rating could cause faults (risk of
f i r e).
If the fuse fails again soon after replacement,
have the vehicle's electrical system checked by

T dealer or a qualified workshop.
