Simultaneous locking or
unlocking of the tailgate and the
doors
The tailgate is locked or unlocked
by the remote control or the driver’s
door lock.
To open, pull handle A and lift the
tailgate.

Note: the tailgate locks automatically
when the vehicle is being driven at
6 mph (10 km/h), even if the auto-
matic central locking is deactivated.
It unlocks when one of the doors is
opened or when the central lock-
ing button is pressed (speed below
6 mph (10 km/h)). TAILGATE
Saloon This enables the tailgate to be un-
locked in the event of a central locking
fault.

 Fold back the rear seats to gain
access to the lock from inside the
boot.

 Insert a small screwdriver into
hole B of the lock to unlock the
tailgate.
Estate
"Tailgate open" warning
If the tailgate is not properly closed:
- with the engine running , you
are warned by a diagram and a
message on the multifunction dis-
play for a few seconds,
- when the vehicle is moving
(speed above 6 mph (10 km/h)),
the service warning light comes
on. It is accompanied by an audi-
ble signal, a diagram and a mes-
sage on the multi-function display
for a few seconds.

Automatic windscreen wipers
In AUTO mode, the windscreen
wipers operate automatically and

adapt their speed to the intensity
of the rainfall . Do not cover the rain sensor
located on the windscreen
behind the interior mirror.
When using an automatic car
wash, switch off the ignition.
In winter, it is advisable to wait for the
windscreen to completely clear of ice
before operating the automatic wipe.
Activation
Activation of the function is accom-
panied by a message on the multi-
function display.
Rear windscreen wiper
To activate or deactivate
this function, go to the multi-
function display coni guration
menu.
If there is a signii cant
accumulation of snow or ice and
when using a bicycle carrier on the
tailgate (estate), deactivate the
automatic rear wiper by going to the
multifunction display coni guration
menu.
Rear windscreen wash
Deactivation
Deactivation of the function is
accompanied by a message on the
multifunction display.
The function is deactivated when the
windscreen wipers stalk is moved to
position I , 1 or 2 .

In the event of
malfunction of the
automatic windscreen wipers, the
windscreen wipers will operate in
intermittent mode.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have
the system checked. Turn ring
A past the i rst
notch; the windscreen wash
then the windscreen wiper
operate for a i xed period.
Turn ring
A to the i rst notch
for intermittent wiping.
When reverse gear is
engaged, if the windscreen
wipers are in operation, the
rear wiper starts.

The automatic windscreen
wipers function must be
reactivated if the ignition
has been switched off for
more than one minute, by pressing
the stalk downwards.

 Remove the tailgate upper trim
carefully by unclipping it on either
side, perpendicular to its direction
of engagement.

 Insert a screwdriver into the two
outer holes B to press on the two
tabs C .

 Push the light unit outwards while
maintaining the pressure on the
tabs.

 Pull the light unit outwards while
tilting it.

 Change the faulty bulb.

 When rei tting, ensure that the
light unit tabs are engaged
correctly and that the tailgate
upper trim has been put back in
place correctly.

1. Brake lights (P 21 W).

2. Side lights (x 2) (R 5 W).

3. Direction indicators (P 21 W).

4. Reversing light (P 21 W),
left-hand side.
Fog lamp (P 21 W), right-hand
side.
These 6 bulbs are changed by
removing the light:

 Remove the corresponding boot
side trim to access the light,

 Remove the light i xing nut inside
the boot,

 Remove the light i xing nut out-
side the boot,

 Remove the light,

 Unclip the harness,
 Remove the bulb holder pressing
on the tabs A ,

 Change the faulty bulb.

Note: if necessary, use the wheel-
brace to remove the nuts.
When rei tting, take care to position
the bulb holder and the light
correctly.
Number plate lights
(W 5 W)

 Insert a thin screwdriver into one
of the external holes of the lens.

 Push it outwards to unclip it.

 Remove the lens.

 Change the faulty bulb.
