The air bags have been designed to
m a x i m i s e t h e s a f e t y o f t h e o c c u p a n t s
in the event of violent collisions. They
s u p p l e m e n t t h e a c t i o n o f t h e f o r c e -
limiting seat belts.
In this case, the electronic detectors
record and analyse the front and side
i m p a c t s s u f f e r e d i n t h e i m p a c t d e t e c -
t i o n z o n e s :

This smoke is not harmful, but

The noise of the detonation
may result in a slight loss of

p o r a t e d i n t h e s y s t e m .
I n a l l c a s e s , t h e a i r b a g w a r n i n g
light comes on.
F o l l o w i n g a n i m p a c t , h a v e t h e
seat belts system checked,
a n d i f n e c e s s a r y r e p l a c e d , b y a
PEUGEOT dealer.
The air bags do not operate
when the ignition is off.
