ISOFIX MOUNTINGS
The two rear side seats of your ve-
hicle are itted with ISOFIX mount-
ings . These are two rings located
between the seat back and the seat
cushion.
The ISOFIX child seats are itted
with two locks which are secured
easily on these rings.
Fitting a child seat in a vehicle incor-
rectly compromises the child's pro-
tection in the event of a collision.
This ISOFIX mounting system guar-
antees reliable, safe and fast itting of
the child seat in your vehicle.
The ISOFIX child seats approved for
your vehicle are presented on the
next page.
GENERAL POINTS RELATING
TO CHILD SEATS
Although one of PEUGEOT’s main
criteria when designing your vehicle,
the safety of your children also de-
pends on you.
For maximum safety, please follow
these precautions:
- Since 1992, all children under
the age of 12 must travel in ap-
proved child seats* suited to
their weight , on seats itted with a
seat belt or ISOFIX mountings**.
- A child weighing less than 9
kg must travel in the rearwards
facing position both in the front
and in the rear. PEUGEOT rec-
ommends that children should
travel in the "rearwards facing"
position up to the age of two.
- Statistically, the safest seats in
your vehicle for the transpor-
tation of children are the rear
seats. PEUGEOT recommends
that children travel in the rear
even when a "rearwards facing"
child seat is used.
- If a child is travelling on a booster seat, check that the lap section of
the seat belt passes over the child’s
thighs correctly. The chest section
of the seat belt must be positioned
on the child’s shoulder without
touching the neck. PEUGEOT rec-
ommends that you use a booster * According to current legislation in
the country.
** According to model.
seat with a back, itted with a seat
belt guide at shoulder level.
- Remember to fasten the seat belt or the child seat harness keeping
the slack in relation to the child’s
body to a minimum , even for short
journeys.
Special points relating to the
transportation of children on
the front passenger seat*
Children under the age of 10 must not
travel in the forwards facing position,
unless the rear seats are already oc-
cupied by other children or the rear
seats cannot be used (absent or
folded). In this case, adjust the front
passenger seat to the intermediate
longitudinal position and leave the
passenger air bag armed**.
The transportation of children in the
rearwards facing position is permit-
ted. In this position, it is essential
to disarm the passenger air bag**.
Otherwise, the child would risk be-
ing killed or seriously injured if the air
bag were to inlate.

position (when the side seats are
recentred) from birth to 13 kg and in
the "forwards facing" position from 9
to 18 kg.
In the rear, in the "forwards facing"

passenger seat is in the intermedi-
ate longitudinal position, seat back
upright.
In the "rear facing" position, the body
of the child seat must be in contact
with the back of the corresponding
front seat.
The ISOFIX KIDDY seat can also
be installed on a 2nd row side seat
which has been positioned in the 3rd
row. In this case, the ISOFIX KIDDY
seat must be in the "rear facing" posi-
tion, the body supported on the seat
back of the corresponding 2nd row
seat.The ISOFIX RÖMER Duo* child
seat
The child seat is installed in the
"forwards facing" position only for
children from 9 to 18 kg. It is secured
without the upper strap called the
Top Tether.
For your child's comfort, there are
three seat body angles: sitting, re-
clining and lying.
When the Römer Duo is installed in
the rear, the front seat of the vehicle
must be adjusted so that the child's
feet do not touch the back of the front
seat.
These child seats can be used
on seats which are not itted with
ISOFIX mountings. In this case it
is compulsory to attach them to the
vehicle's seat by means of the three-
point seat belt.

If it is necessary to remove the

jectile in the event of sharp braking.Never leave the keys within reach of
children inside the vehicle.
Observe strictly the recommenda-
tions for assembling and securing
