Selecting a track
Press button 8 to select the next
track.
Press button 7 to return to the start
of the current track or to select the
previous track.
You can also select a track directly
via the list of tracks on the CD:
- press the "LIST REFRESH" button to display the list,
- press button 5 or 6 to select the
track,
- press the "OK" button to play the track.
Accelerated play
Keep button 8 or 7 pressed for
forwards or backwards accelerated
play.
Accelerated play stops as soon as
the button is released. "CD" menu
Press the "MENU"
button to access the
general menu and
select the "Audio
functions" menu then
"Audio CD preferenc-
es" or press the "OK"
button in CD mode to
select the following
functions:
- Activate/Deactivate playing of the track intros (SCAN),
- Activate/Deactivate random play- ing of the tracks (RDM),
- Activate/Deactivate CD information (CDTXT).
A function selected from the "CD"
menu remains active when the CD
changer mode is selected.
Insert circular compact
discs only.
Some anti-pirating sys-
tems, on original discs or
CDs copied by a personal
CD writer may cause malfunctions,
irrespective of the quality of the origi-
nal player.Compact disc
The CD player, incorporated in your
audio equipment, is compatible with
displaying of the CD Text  mode.
CDs which do not use this mode
will display the number of each track
instead of the name of the artist and
the title of the song. This function is
not available with the CD changer.
With the audio equip-
ment on and after
insertion of a disc,
printed face upwards,
the CD player starts
automatically.
If a disc is already in-
serted, press the "SOURCE" button
to select the CD player.

CD changer
Selecting CD changer modePress the "SOURCE"
button several times.
To access the CD
changer, you must
insert at least one CD
in the changer.
Selecting a disc
Press one of the buttons "1" to "5" on
the CD changer to select the corre-
sponding disc.
Buttons 5 and 6 permit the selec-
tion of the previous/next disc in the
changer.
Each time a disc is selected, a win-
dow appears as a superimposed dis-
play to indicate the presence of discs
in the changer cartridge:
- "Disc" if a CD is present,
- "Cannot be played" if the CD is faulty or upside down,
- Blank line if there is no CD present.
The CD Text  is not avail-
able when playing a CD via
the changer. Selecting a track

CD CHANGER
This is located in the centre of the
fascia under the radio. It holds up to
5 discs.
To load the changer, insert the discs
with the printed side upwards.To select a disc, press the corre-
sponding button
"1" to "5" briely.
Play begins automatically.
To remove a disc, press the corre-
sponding button "1" to "5" for more
than two seconds.

sonal recorder, may cause malfunc-

CONTROL PANEL AND
FUNCTIONS LINKED WITH
THE RT3
The RT3 is a GPS audio/telephone,
power 4x35 W, with a single CD play-
er and a hands-free type telephone
on the front panel.
This is itted with:
- a special socket for connection of the CD changer,
- 6 speakers (2 tweeters, 2 woofers and 2 broad band),
- a Radio/CD/CD Changer/Trip Computer/Telephone/Navigation
control panel,
- a tuner with 18 FM memories (3 wavebands) and 6 AM memories,
- a processor for digital processing of the sound, "DSP" (Digital Sound
Processor). Anti-theft system
The RT3 GPS audio/telephone is
coded in such a way that it can only
work in your vehicle. If you wish to
install it in another vehicle, contact
your PEUGEOT dealer for conigura-
tion of the system.
The anti-theft system is automatic.
No action on your part is required.
CD player
With direct digital play.
If the function is active, interruption by
Trafic Information (TA) or telephone
is possible.
Radio
With RDS/REG/EON/TA/PTY func-
tions.
Radio Text compatible.
5 disc CD changer
With random play and playing of the
beginning of tracks functions.
If the function is active, interruption by
Trafic Information (TA) or telephone
is possible.

Emergency call. AUDIO: access to the musical ambience, bass, treble, loudness,
rear/front sound distribution, left/right

LIST: displaying and updating of the
list of stations received, of the tracks

TA/PTY: TA function on/off (trafic
information priority) - access to the
PTY function (search by type of
programme, if the coding is activated
by the broadcasting stations).
BAND AST: selection of the frequency
wavebands FM1, FM2, FMast (Auto-
store function) and AM.

pages. This allows you direct and easy
access to most of the audio and
telematic functions which are also
available on the audio/telephone
control panel.

Voice commands
The voice commands enable you to
control a certain number of functions
of the RT3 GPS audio/telephone
by means of pre-recorded words or
phrases.
The list of voice commands available
appears when the "MENU" button is
pressed for more than two seconds.
Activation of the voice commands
From the general menu , select
the "Coniguration" menu, then
"Sound" to activate or deactivate
their use and set their volume. Example:
to recall the radio station
stored on button 3, the key words
are: "Radio" "Memory" "3".
In order to use these key words, you
must say the word "Radio", wait for
the audible conirmation signal, then
say the word "Memory", wait for the
audible conirmation signal, then end
with the word "3", wait for the audible
conirmation signal which will carry
out the action required.
Notes:
- between saying one key word and the next, a screen indicates the
time remaining and the key word
recognised,
- if no voice commands are given, this function will be deactivated
after approximately ive seconds,
- if the system does not understand, it says "Pardon" and displays "Word
not recognised" on the screen. Recording a description
associated with a directory ile
When a description is associated
with a directory ile, you can record
the description vocally so that it can
be used later for direct access by
means of voice commands (e.g.:
"Call"
"[Name of voice descrip-
tion]" or "Guide to" "[Name of
voice description]" ).
Select "Consult or change the ile" on
the menu "Management of directory
iles" to gain access to the descrip-
tion inputting and recording screen.
Press the record button and follow
the instructions.
Use of the voice commands
Before saying a description, press
the end of the lights stalk to start the
voice recognition.
Press again to switch it off.

List of voice commands available
The key words which can be recog-
nised by the system are organised in
three levels (levels 1, 2 and 3).
When you say a level 1 command,
the system makes the level 2 com-
mands available; when you say a
level 2 command, the system makes
the level 3 commands available.
The level 1 commands are:

Saying the words HELP or WHAT
CAN I SAY displays all of the com-
mands available on the screen.
Saying the word CANCEL cancels all
of the voice commands.

General functions
On/offPress the button to
switch the audio func-
tion of the RT3 GPS
audio/telephone on
or off.
The RT3 GPS audio/telephone can
operate for approximately 30 minutes
without the vehicle’s ignition being
switched on, under normal conditions
of use and maintenance of the battery.
After the ignition has been switched
off, the audio/telephone can be
switched on again by pressing the
"TEL" (green) button or by inserting
a CD in the player.
Adjusting the volume
Turn the dial clockwise to increase
the volume of the audio/telephone or
anti-clockwise to decrease it.
The volume setting is speciic to each
source. It is possible to have different
settings for radio, CD or CD changer,
telephone or voice synthesiser. Audio settings

Musical
Ambience, Bass, Tre-
ble, Loudness, front/
rear sound distribu-
tion (Fader), right/left sound distribu-
tion (Balance) and Automatic Volume
Adjustment setting windows.
Exit from audio mode is by pressing
the "ESC" button or is automatic after
a few seconds without any action.
Bass, treble and loudness settings
are speciic to each source. It is pos-
sible to have different settings for
radio, CD or CD changer.
Musical ambience
This function permits the selection of a
musical ambience: "None", "Classical",
"Jazz-Blues", "Pop-Rock", "Techno" or
"Vocal".
Select the musical ambience using
the navigator.
Selecting a musical ambience sets
the bass and treble automatically.
Selecting "None" permits access to
all of the settings deined below. Adjusting the Bass
When "Bass" is displayed, vary the
setting using the navigator: -
"-9" for minimum bass setting
- mid-way for normal bass setting
- "+9" for maximum bass setting
Adjusting the Treble
When "Treble" is displayed, vary the
setting using the navigator: - "-9" for minimum treble setting
- mid-way for normal setting
- "+9" for maximum treble setting
Adjusting the loudness
The loudness automatically empha-
sises bass and treble tones when the
volume is low.
Switch the function on or off using
the navigator.
