VISIBILITY
AMBIENT LIGHTING
Different lighting times are avail-
able:
- when the ignition is off, approxi-mately ten minutes,
- in energy economy mode, ap- proximately thirty seconds,
- when the engine is running, no limit.
Your vehicle is fi tted with two boot lights;
one in the left-hand boot side trim and a
second in the tailgate interior trim.
They come on automatically when the
boot is opened and switch off automati-
cally when the boot is closed.
They cannot be deactivated manually.
INTERIOR WELCOME LIGHTING BOOT LIGHTING
The remote switching on of the passenger
compartment lighting makes your approach
to the vehicle easier in poor light when in
automatic switching on of the lights mode.
Switching on

 Press the open padlock on the re-
mote control.
The front and rear door sill lighting, the
footwell lighting and the courtesy lights
come on; your vehicle is also unlocked.
Switching off
The interior welcome lighting switches off
automatically after a set time or when
one of the doors is opened.
Programming
The dimmed passenger compartment
lighting improves visibility in the vehicle
when the light is poor.
Switching on
At night, the footwell lighting and the
front courtesy light ambient lamp

come on automatically when the side
lights are switched on.
Switching off
The ambient lighting switches off au-
tomatically when the side lights are
switched off.
Programming
The duration of the welcome light-
ing is associated with and identical to
that of the automatic follow-me-home
lighting.
The function is activated or
deactivated via the multi-
function display confi gura-
tion menu.
This function is activated
by default. The duration of maintaining
of the lighting is selected
via the multifunction dis-
play confi guration menu.

Hooked onto the stowing rings, this en-
ables you to secure your luggage.
Luggage retaining net

 Raise the boot carpet to gain access
to the storage box.

 Hook the boot carpet on the boot
seal using its handle.
This has areas for storing the windstop
and two warning triangles.
By removing this box you gain access
to the puncture repair kit and the tools.

In the "cabriolet" confi guration, this de-
fi nes the luggage space in the boot.

 When the boot screen is unfolded,
check that the luggage:
- never raises it,
- is never placed on top of it.
The load space cover must always
be unfolded before a roof opening
manoeuvre is triggered (refer to the
"Familiarisation - § Opening" section).

CHANGING A WHEEL
Procedure for changing a faulty wheel
for the spare wheel using the tools pro-
vided with the vehicle.
The tools are installed in the boot under
the fl oor.
To gain access to them:

 change to the "coupé" confi guration,

 open the boot,

 raise the fl oor,

 secure it by hooking its handle on
the boot seal,

 unclip and remove the box containing
the tools. All of these tools are specifi c to your
vehicle. Do not use them for other
purposes.

1. Wheelbrace.
Permits removal of the wheel trim and removal of the wheel fi xing
bolts.

2. Jack with integral handle.
Permits raising of the vehicle.

3. "Bolt cover" tool.
Permits removal of the bolt protec- tors (covers) on alloy wheels.

4. Centring guide.
Permits the refi tting of an alloy wheel on the hub.

6. Removable towing eye.

Access to the tools
Wheel with trim

When removing the wheel , detach
the trim fi rst using the wheelbrace 1
pulling at the valve passage hole.

When refi tting the wheel , refi t the
trim starting by placing its notch
facing the valve and press around
its edge with the palm of your
hand.

5. Socket for the anti-theft bolts
(located in the glove box).
Permits adaptation of the wheel- brace to the special "anti-theft"
bolts.

Fixing the steel spare wheel
If your vehicle is fi tted with alloy
wheels, it is normal to notice, when
tightening the bolts on fi tting, that
the washers do not come into con-
tact with the steel spare wheel. The
wheel is secured by the conical
contact of each bolt.
Access to the spare wheel
The spare wheel is installed in the boot
under the fl oor.
According to country, the spare wheel
may be steel or alloy.
To gain access to it, refer to the paragraph
"Access to the tools" on the previous
page.
Taking out the wheel

 Unscrew the yellow central bolt.

 Raise the spare wheel towards you
from the rear.

 Take the wheel out of the boot.
Putting the wheel back in place

 Put the wheel back in its housing.

 Unscrew the yellow central bolt by a
few turns then put it in place in the
centre of the wheel.

 Tighten fully until the central bolt
clicks to retain the wheel correctly.

 Put the box back in place in the centre
of the wheel and clip it.
Tyre under-infl ation detection
The spare wheel is not fi tted with a
sensor. The punctured wheel must
be repaired by a PEUGEOT dealer.

TOWING THE VEHICLE
Procedure for having your vehicle towed
or for towing another vehicle using a
removable towing eye.
Access to the tools Towing your vehicle

 On the front bumper, unclip the cover
by pressing at the bottom.

 Screw the towing eye in fully.

 Install the towbar.

 Switch on the hazard warning lights
on the towed vehicle.
 On the rear bumper, unclip the cover
by pressing at the bottom.

 Screw the towing eye in fully.

 Install the towbar.

 Switch on the hazard warning lights
on the towed vehicle.
Towing another vehicle
The towing eye is installed in the boot
under the fl oor.
To gain access to it:

 change to the "coupé" confi guration,

 open the boot,

 raise the fl oor,

 secure it by hooking its handle on
the boot seal,

 remove the towing eye from the
holder. When towing with all four wheels on
the ground, always use a towbar.
When towing with only two wheels
on the ground, always use profes-
sional lifting equipment.
When towing with the engine off,
there is no longer any braking or
steering assistance.

 Place the gear lever in neutral
(position N on the automatic
gearbox).
Failure to observe this special con-
dition could result in damage to
certain braking components and
the absence of braking assistance
the next time the engine is started.
