starting.
The duration for which this is displayed is
determined by the exterior climatic conditions.

Handbrake/

few seconds when the
ignition is turned to "ON"
then switches off.
It is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display.
The handbrake is
applied or has not been
released fully. It is accompanied by a message on the

to switch off the warning light.

Driver’s
seat belt not fastened Fixed The driver has not
fastened or has
unfastened his seat belt. This is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display.
Fasten the driver’s seat belt.
ABS Fixed This comes on if an
anti-lock braking system
failure occurs. It is accompanied by a message on the instrument
panel display. The vehicle retains conventional
braking without assistance but you are advised to
stop. Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.
Air bags and
pretensioners Fixed This comes on for a
few seconds when the
ignition is turned to "ON"
then switches off.
It should switch off when the engine is started. If it
does not switch off, contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
This comes on if an air
bag or pretensioner
failure occurs. It is accompanied by a message on the instrument
panel display. Have the system checked by a
PEUGEOT dealer without delay.

Each time the engine is started: a series of warning lights and/or messages come on applying a checking self test. They
switch off after a few seconds. Engine running: the warning light or the message becomes a warning if it remains on
c o n t i n u o u s l y o r fl a s h e s . T h i s i n i t i a l w a r n i n g m a y b e a c c o m p a n i e d b y a n a u d i b l e s i g n a l a n d a m e s s a g e o n t h e d i s p l a y . D o n o t
ignore these warnings.

t h e d i s p l a y a u t o m a t i c a l l y . I f t h e c a u s e o f t h e w a r n i n g i s n o t r e c t i fi e d , y o u c a n r e t u r n t o t h e p r e v i o u s s c r e e n a t a n y t i m e b y
pressing the INFO button on the fascia.
The symbol "!" is displayed.
To return to the previous screen (with the "!" symbol), you must press the INFO button several times.

INFORMATION ON THE INFORMATION ON THE
INSTRUMENT PANEL DISPLAY
D a t a d i s p l a y s
With the ignition on, press the
INFO
button, located on the fascia to the
right of the instrument panel, to display
the various information displays in
succession:
- the distance recorder A ,
- the distance recorder B ,
- the service indicator,
- the coolant temperature,
- the range,
- the trip computer,
- the setting menu.
This displays the distance
and the number of months
remaining before the next
service to be carried out in
accordance with the manu-
facturer’s servicing sched-
ule (refer to the "Service
indicator" section).
Service indicator
When the engine is run-
ning, this indicates the
temperature of the cool-
ant (refer to the "Coolant
temperature indicator"
section).
C o o l a n t t e m p e r a t u r e When the engine is run-
ning, this indicates the
number of miles (kilo-
metres) which can still
be travelled with the fuel
remaining in the tank in
relation to the average
consumption over the
last few miles (kilometres) travelled (re-
fer to the "Range" section).
Range
This indicates the aver-
age consumption, the
average speed and the
current consumption (re-
fer to the "Trip computer"
section).
T r i p c o m p u t e r
When the vehicle is sta-
t i o n a r y , this allows the user
to change the following pa-
rameters (refer to the "Func-
tion parameters" section):
- the display language,
- the temperature dis- play unit,
- the fuel consumption unit,
- the option to reinitialise the average consumption and the average speed,
- the break (rest) reminder display in- terval.

DISTANCE RECORDERS (A/B)
System for measuring the total distance
travelled by the vehicle during its
service life and the distance travelled in
a day or other period until it is reset to
zero by the driver.
Zero reset
With the ignition on, press the INFO
button for more than 2 seconds until
zeros appear. When the engine is run-
ning, this indicates the tem-
perature of the coolant
.
COOLANT TEMPERATURE
If the bar is close to the critical position
located on the right, the temperature is
too high.

is overheating.

in relation to the average
consumption over the
last few miles/kilometres
travelled.
RANGE RANGE
When the range is less than 30 miles
(50 km) , dashes are displayed.
Fill the fuel tank as soon as possible.
The display of the range is updated.
As the cooling system is pressurised, to
avoid any risk of scalding, unscrew the
cap by two turns to allow the pressure
to drop.
When the pressure has dropped,
remove the cap and top up the level, if
necessary.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer. T h i s fi g u r e m a y i n c r e a s e f o l -
lowing a change in the style of
driving or the relief, resulting in
a reduction in the current con-
sumption.
If you only add a few litres, the
value displayed will be incorrect.
T h e r e f o r e , y o u m u s t fi l l t h e t a n k
whenever possible.
When you disconnect the bat-
tery, the previous consumption
data is lost and the value dis-
played will be different from that
displayed before the battery was
disconnected. The distance dis-
played must be considered an
approximate indication.
