Panel grouping together the dials and
warning/indicator lights. These inform
the driver of the activation of a system
(operation or deactivation indicator
lights) or of the occurrence of a fault
(warning lights).

Diesel
preheating Fixed This comes on when the
ignition switch is in the
ON position. Wait until this switches off before starting.
The duration for which this is lit is determined by
the exterior climatic conditions.
Handbrake/
Brake fl uid level Fixed This comes on for a
few seconds when the
ignition is turned to "ON"
then switches off.
It is accompanied by a message on the instrument
panel display.
The handbrake is
applied or has not been
released fully. It is accompanied by a message on the instrument
panel display. Release the handbrake to switch off
the warning light.
The brake fl uid level is
too low. t is accompanied by a message on the instrument
panel display. Top up with brake fl uid and contact
a PEUGEOT dealer.
Emission
control system Fixed or
fl ashing This comes on or
fl ashes if the system
fails. Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
It should switch off a few seconds after starting
the engine.
Battery charge Fixed
This comes on if a
charging circuit fault
occurs. It should switch off when the engine is started.
It is accompanied by a message on the instrument
panel display. Check the battery terminals (refer t
o
the "Battery" section).

Driver's
seat belt not fastened Fixed The driver has not
fastened or has
unfastened his seat belt. This is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display.
Fasten the driver's seat belt.
ABS Fixed
This comes on if an
anti-lock braking system
failure occurs. It is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display. The vehicle retains
conventional braking without assistance but
you are advised to stop. Have it checked by a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Air bags and
pretensioners Fixed This comes on for a
few seconds when the
ignition is turned to "ON"
then switches off.
It should switch off when the engine is started.
If it does not switch off, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer.
This comes on if an air
bag or pretensioner
failure occurs. It is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display. Have the system
checked by a PEUGEOT dealer without delay.
Dynamic
stability control system (ASC) Fixed This comes on if the
dynamic stability control
system fails. It is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel screen. Have the system
checked by a PEUGEOT dealer without delay.
Directional
lighting off
(AFS OFF) Fixed
This comes on when the
mode is not active. Press the "AFS OFF" button to activate/
deactivate the mode.
Flashing This fl ashes if the
systems fails. Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.

Each time the engine is started: a series of warning lights and/or messages come on applying a checking self test. They
switch off after a few seconds. Engine running: the warning light or the message becomes a warning if it remains on
continuously or fl ashes. This initial warning may be accompanied by an audible signal and a message on the display. Do not
ignore these warnings.
The messages displayed may vary between the type 1 instrument pan el and the type 2 instrument panel.
When the cause of the appearance of the warning light o r warning message has been rectifi ed, the warning disappears fro m
the display automatically. If the cause of the warning is n ot rectifi ed, you can return to the previous screen at any time b y
pressing the INFO button on the fascia.
The symbol "!" is displayed.
To return to the previous screen (with the "!" symbol), you must press the INFO button several times.

Warning messages (ignition at "OFF")
You can shut down the warning messages which show these symbol
s in order to move on to the next screen.
To do this, press the INFO button according to the symbol displayed.

Key in
ignition Fixed The driver's door is open
and you have forgotten
to remove the key from
the ignition. Turn the ignition switch
to the LOCK position
and remove the key. Only if the engine has
been started.

signal is heard.

Lights left
on Fixed You have forgotten to
switch off your lights. Switch off your lights by
placing the stalk at OFF. An intermittent audible
signal is heard.

low or fault in the oil
circuit. Stop the vehicle and

Engine oil level Fixed Engine oil level too low. Stop the vehicle and
check the level using the
dipstick. If there is a lack of oil,
top up the level.
Fuel level
warning Fixed The fuel tank level is low. Fill your fuel tank as
soon as possible.

Fuel circuit Fixed Fuel circuit fault. Consult a PEUGEOT
dealer.

Accesses not closed
correctly Fixed One of the doors or the
tailgate is not closed
correctly. Close the door or the
tailgate. The access concerned
is indicated on the
display.
