Child safety
The incorrect installation of a child seat in a vehicle compromises the child's protection in the event of an accident. Remember to fasten the seat belts or the child seat harnesses keeping the slack relative to the child's body to a minimum, even for short journeys. When installing a child seat using the seat belt, ensure that the seat belt is tightened correctly on the child seat and that it secures the child seat firmly on the seat of your vehicle. If your passenger seat is adjustable, move it for wards if necessary. For optimum installation of the "forwards-facing" child seat, ensure that the back of the child seat is in contact with the back of the vehicle's seat and that the head restraint does not cause any discomfort. If the head restraint has to be removed,
ensure that it is stored or attached securely to prevent it from being thrown around the vehicle in the event of sharp braking.

Advice on child seats
As a safety precaution, do not leave: - a child or children alone and unsupervised in a vehicle, - a child or an animal in a vehicle which is exposed to the sun, with the windows closed, - the keys within reach of children inside the vehicle. To prevent accidental opening of the doors and rear windows, use the "Child lock". Take care not to open the rear windows by more than one third. To protect young children from the rays of the sun, fit side blinds on the rear windows.
Children under the age of 10 must not travel in the "for wards-facing" position on the front passenger seat, unless the rear seats are already occupied by other children, cannot be used or are absent. Deactivate the passenger airbag when a "rear wards-facing" child seat is installed on the front seat. Otherwise, the child would risk being seriously injured or killed if the airbag were to inflate.
Installing a booster seat
The chest part of the seat belt must be positioned on the child's shoulder without touching the neck. Ensure that the lap part of the seat belt passes correctly over the child's thighs. PEUGEOT recommends the use of a booster seat which has a back, fitted with a seat belt guide at shoulder level.

Your vehicle has been approved in accordance with the latest ISOFIX regulations . The seats, represented below, are fitted with regulation ISOFIX mountings.
"ISOFIX" mountings
There are three rings for each seat. - Two rings A , located between the vehicle seat back and cushion, indicated by a
label.
This ISOFIX mounting system provides fast, reliable and safe fitting of the child seat in your vehicle. The ISOFIX child seats are fitted with two latches which are easily secured on the two rings A . Some also have an upper strap which is attached to ring B .

For information regarding the ISOFIX child seats which can be installed in your vehicle, refer to the table showing the locations for installing ISOFIX child seats.
- A ring B , behind the seat, referred to as the TOP TETHER for fixing the upper strap.
To attach this strap, raise the vehicle seat's head restraint then pass the hook between its rods. Then fix the hook on ring B and tighten the upper strap.

Electric child lock
Remote control system to prevent opening of the rear doors using their interior controls and use of the rear electric windows.
Switching on
 With the ignition on, press this button. The indicator lamp in the button comes on, accompanied by a message to confirm that the child lock is on. This indicator lamp remains on until the child lock is switched off. It is still possible to open the doors from the outside and operate the rear electric windows from the driver's control panel.
Switching off
 With the ignition on, press this button again. The indicator lamp in the button goes off, accompanied by a message to confirm that the child lock is off. This indicator lamp remains off while the child lock is switched off.
Any other status of the indicator lamp indicates a fault with the electric child lock. Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
This system is independent and in no circumstances does it take the place of the central locking control. Check the status of the child lock each time you switch on the ignition. Always remove the key from the ignition when leaving the vehicle, even for a short time. In the event of a serious impact, the
electric child lock is switched off automatically to permit the exit of the rear passengers.

Direction indicators
 Lower the lighting control stalk fully when moving to the left.  Raise the lighting control stalk fully when moving to the right.
"Motorway" function
Move the stalk briefly upwards or downwards, without going beyond the point of resistance; the corresponding direction indicators will flash 3 times.
If you forget to cancel the
direction indicators for more than twenty seconds, the volume of the audible signal will increase if the speed is above 40 mph (60 km/h).
Hazard warning lamps
Press the button, the direction indicators flash. They can operate with the ignition off.
Automatic operation of
hazard warning lamps
When braking in an emergency, depending on the rate of deceleration, as well as when the ABS regulation is invoked or in the event of an impact, the hazard warning lamps come on automatically. They switch off automatically the first time you accelerate.  You can also switch them off by pressing the button.

Safety
Tyre under-infl ation detection
System which automatically checks the pressures of the tyres while driving. The system continuously monitors the pressures of the four tyres, as soon as the vehicle is moving. This system does not avoid the need to check the tyre pressures regularly (including the spare wheel) and before a long journey. Driving with under-inflated tyres adversely affects road holding, extends braking distances and causes premature tyre wear, particularly under arduous conditions (vehicle loaded, high speed, long journey).
The tyre under-inflation detection system is an aid to driving which does not replace the need for the driver to be vigilant or to drive responsibly.
A pressure sensor is located in the valve of a each tyres (except the spare wheel). The system triggers an alert if a drop in pressure is detected in one or more tyres.
Under-inflation alert
The alert is given by the fixed illumination of this warning lamp, accompanied by an audible signal, and depending on
equipment, the display of a message.
Driving with under-inflated tyres increases fuel consumption.
The tyre pressures for your vehicle can be found on the tyre pressure label (see the "Identification markings" section).
The tyre pressures must be checked when the tyres cold (vehicle stopped for 1 hour or after driving for less then 6 miles (10 km) at moderate speed). Other wise, add 0.3 bar to the values indicated on the label.
In the event of a problem on one of the tyres, the symbol or the message appears, according to equipment, to identify it.  Reduce speed, avoid sudden steering movements or harsh brake applications.  Stop as soon as it is safe to do so.  In the event of a puncture, use the temporary puncture repair kit or the spare wheel (according to equipment), or  if you have a compressor, the one in the temporary puncture repair kit for example, check the four tyre pressures when cold, or  if it is not possible to check the tyre pressures at the time, drive carefully at reduced speed.

168
Safety
The loss of pressure detected does not always lead to visible deformation of the tyre. Do not rely on just a visual check.
The alert is maintained until the tyre or tyres concerned is reinflated, repaired or replaced. The spare wheel (space-saver type or a steel rim) does not have a sensor.
Operating fault
The flashing and then fixed illumination of the under-inflation warning lamp accompanied by the illumination of the "service" warning lamp indicates a fault with the system. In this case, monitoring of the tyre pressures is not assured.
This alert is also displayed when one or more wheels is not fitted with a sensor (for example, a space-saver or steel spare wheel).
Go to a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop to have the system checked or, following the repair of a puncture, to have the original wheel, equipped with a sensor, refitted.
