THE REMOTE CONTROL KEY
From the driver's door, the key allows you to lock or unlock thedoors, the boot and the fuel fillerflap, as well as to fold back oropen out the exterior mirrors .
The remote control in the keyperforms the same function at adistance. Locking with the remote control  Press button A.
This is confirmed by fixed lighting of the direction indicators forapproximately two seconds. Unlocking with the remote control key  Press button B.
This is confirmed by rapid flash- ing of the direction indicators. With the vehicle unlocked, theboot is opened using the pushbutton located on the right rearside, in the 'zero' of the 607badge. Opening the boot with the remote control key 
Keep button Cpressed.
Key in ignition If you leave the key in the ignition, this is indicated by abuzzer upon opening the driv-
er's door. Locating the vehicle
To locate your vehicle in a car park, press button A; the cour-
tesy lights come on and thedirection indicators flash forapproximately twenty seconds. Driving position memorised by the remote control key When locking the doors, the remote control key memorisesthe position of the driver's seatand the driving mirrors.Each remote control key mem-orises a specific setting. When unlocking the doors, the driver's seat and the driving mir-rors assume the position memo-
rised by the remote control key, ifthis position has been changed inthe meantime. Note:
do not press the buttons of
your remote control key out ofrange of your vehicle as there isa risk that you could render itinoperative. It would then be nec-essary to reprogramme it. Deadlocking This renders the internal and external door locking controlsinoperative and permits the auto-matic closing of the windows andthe sunroof. With the key: lock the vehicle and keep the key in the locked position forapproximately one second.
With the remote control:  press button Ato lock the
vehicle (the direction indicator lights remain on for approxi-mately two seconds),
 within five seconds, press but-ton Aagain to deadlock the
vehicle (the direction indicatorlights remain on for approxi-mately two seconds).

THE REMOTE CONTROL KEY
From the driver's door, the key allows you to lock or unlock thedoors, the boot and the fuel filler flap,as well as to fold back and unfold theexterior mirrors. The remote control in the key per- forms the same functions at a dis-tance. If one of the front doors or the boot is open, the central locking does notfunction. Selective unlocking with theremote control key This function must be initialised by a
PEUGEOT dealer. Press button Bto unlock the driver's
door as well as to fold out the exteri- or mirrors. Press button Bagain to unlock the
other doors, the boot and the fuel filler flap. Folding/opening out the key
To tuck away the key blade, fold it down into the remote control module.
To open out the key, press button
D.
Deadlocking This renders the internal and exter- nal door controls inoperative, andenables automatic closing of the win-dows and the sunroof.
With the key  Lock the vehicle and keep the key in the locking position for approxi-mately one second.
With the remote control incorpo-rated in the key  Press button Aonce to lock the
vehicle (the direction indicatorscome on for approximately twoseconds).
 Within a maximum of five sec-onds, press button Aa second
time to deadlock the vehicle (thedirection indicators come on forapproximately two seconds).
Unlocking with the remotecontrol key  Press button B.
This is confirmed by rapid flashing ofthe direction indicators.
Locking with the remote control key
 Press button A.
This is confirmed by fixed lighting of the direction indicators for approxi-mately two seconds. If one of the doors or the boot is open, the central locking does notfunction. Note: the function that controls fold-
ing back of the exterior mirrors can
be disarmed by a PEUGEOT dealer. Opening the boot with theremote control key
 Press and hold button C.
Note: this also unlocks the doors or
the driver's door only, if selectiveunlocking is initialised.

Closing the boot
Press the centre of the boot lid with both hands, until it locks.
Note: the boot locks automatically while driving at 6 mph (10 km/h) andunlocks when one of the doors isopened.  Lift the catch and raise the bon-net.
Bonnet assister struts open the bon-net and keep it open. Closing
 Lower the bonnet and release it at the end of its travel.
 Check that it is locked.
'Bonnet open' warning With the ignition on (2nd notch), with the engine running or when the vehi-cle is moving, the door open warn-ing light comes on, accompanied byan audible signal and a diagram on
the multi-function display, if the bon-net is not properly closed.
¥ Safety auto-reverse (on sliding only) When the sunroof is closing and meets an obstacle, it stops thenpartially opens again.
In the event of unwanted opening ofthe sunroof on closing, press part B
of the switch until the sunroof is fully
open. As soon as the sunroof stops,press part Aof the switch until the
sunroof is fully closed. The safety auto-reverse function is not operational during this ope-ration. Note: the sunroof shutter is manual.
Always remove the key from the ignition when leaving thevehicle, even for a shorttime.
In the event of contact when opera-ting the windows, you must reverse
the movement of the window. To dothis, press the switch concerned. When the driver operates the pas- senger window switches, he mustensure that no one is preventing cor-
rect closing of the window. The driver must ensure that passen- gers use the electric windows correct-
ly. Be aware of children when operating the windows.
