GENERAL FUNCTIONS On/off
With the ignition key in the accessories position (1st notch) or with the ignition on (2nd notch), press button
A to switch the set on or off.
The set can operate for 30 minutes without the vehicle ign ition being switched on.
Antitheft system
The audio system is coded in such a way that it can operate on ly on your vehicle. It would not function if fitted to another
vehicle.
This system is automatic and requires no action on your part.
ADJUSTING THE SOUND Adjusting the volume
Turn buttonAto increase or decrease the volume.
Note: the automatic volume correction function "CAV", which depends on the speed of the vehicle, is acces
sible using the audio menu on the multifunction display.
AUDIO SETTINGS Press the 'AUDIO' button several times in succession to access the bass (BASS), treble (TREB), loudness
(LOUD), fader (FAD) , balance (BAL)and automatic volume correction (CAV).
Exit from audio mode is automatic after a few seconds without p ressing any button, or by pressing the
'AUDIO' button after adjusting the balance.
Note: bass and treble settings are specific to each source. It is possibl e to set them differently for radio,
cassette (RM2 audio) or CD changer.

TELEPHONE: Audio/Telephone RT2
This function is a GSM 900 MHZ telephone incorporated in the audio system.
It possesses a 'hands free'function, provided by a microphone located in the front courte sy light and a steering column
remote control which allows access to most of the functions.
It also possesses a 'confidential' function, provided by the instrument panel located in the u pper casing of the centre front
armrest.
Note: An echo may be heard for a few seconds at the beginning of t he call.
The principal "mobile"type functions are shown on the display incorporated in the a udio system; the menu lists can be
referrred to on the multifunction display.
This function is active when the ignition key is in the accessories position (1st notch), the ignition is switched on (2nd notch),
the engine is running or the vehicle is being driven.
Note: when the ignition key is in the accessories position (1st notch) or the ignition is switched on (2nd notch), this function
will be interrupted after thirty minutes, when the message 'Economy mode active'appears on the multifunction display. If
you are using the telephone at that time, you will be ab le to finish your call.
General information about the display (Audio/Telephone R T2 display)
In telephone mode, the display shows the following informa tion, where applicable.
1. Network signal indicator (3 levels).
2. Service indicator not available.
3. Indicates a communication in progress.
4. Indicator showing connection to an outside network.
5. Indicates:
– when continuously lit: presence of an unread message or message s.
– when flashing: the message tape is full.
6. Display zone (10 symbols x 2 lines).

Selecting telephone mode / Entering a number / Switching off the microphone
To change to telephone mode, press the 'TEL' button or for more than 2 seconds on the steering column
remote control.
Insert your SIM card fully into the slot at the front (use only t he new generation 3V SIM card with bank card
format).
Note: the SIM card must not be taken out while the audio/telepho ne system is still in use. If you forget to do this, an audi
ble signal will sound for a few seconds after the ignition is switched off.
Enter your PIN number and confirm with the 'OK' button in order to access the network. The welcome screen is
displayed.
Note: the PIN code is erased each time the ignition is switched off , but the ''PIN code protection'' function may be
cancelled.
Enter the number of the person you wish to speak to on the di gital keypad and pres the 'OK'button to make the call.
To switch off the microphone midcommunication, press the 'TEL'button.
Cancelling the PIN code request
To cancel the PIN code request, select 'PIN code protection' in the 'Telephone parameters' menu and confirm; select 'OFF'
and confirm, then input your PIN code and confirm.
Receiving / Ending a call
When a ringing sounds to let you know that a call is waiti ng, you can choose either to accept it by press
ing the 'OK'button or not to accept it by pressing button Por by selecting 'Refuse call' using the steer
ing column remote control, pressing the end to confirm.
If you do not accept it, the call is diverted to your voice mai l (if this service is available and active).
To end the call, press button Por the end of the steering wheel remote control.
Note: Not accepting or ending a call by means of the steering whee l control returns the system to radio mode.
Receiving two incoming calls
During a call, when there is another incoming call, you are i nformed of this by a ring and a message. You may choose:
– to accept the call by pressing button 2 then "OK"; the first caller is put on hold and you are in contact wit h the second.
However, pressing button 2 again allows you to return to th e first caller,
– to finish the call you are on and talk to the second call er by pressing button 1 then "OK",
– not to accept the new call by pressing button "C".

Storing numbers in the telephone directory (SIM)
In the 'Phonebook' menu, validate the 'New Entry' function with the 'OK'button.
Using the alphanumerical keypad input the name, telephone number and address (the memory number) or keep the one
suggested. Confirm each operation with the 'OK'button.
To access a number in the memory: – look for and select it in the menu 'Find by name'or 'Find by address ' of the 'PHONEBOOK' menu and
press the 'OK'button to make the call,
– or press the end of the steering wheel remote control for more than two seconds, look for and select the
number, then press the end of the remote control to make the call,
– or enter the memory number using the keypad, then press button Ffollowed by the 'OK' button to make the
call.
Note: the first nine numbers in this list are directly accessible. Hold one of the nine buttons of the keypad down, then press
the 'OK' button to call.
Selecting the previous item of a menu Press button Mas many times as necessary to select the required item. Confirm with the 'OK' button.
Selecting the following item of a menu Press button Mas many times as necessary to select the required item. Validate wi th the 'OK' button.
Accessing mini messages
In telephone mode: when the buzzer sounds and the 'envelope' symbol is displayed o n the screen, you can access new
messages by pressing the 'MAN' button.
In radio mode: when the symbol appears, you must change to telephone mode (pre ss the "TEL" button) to be able to
access the new messages.
Note: the old stored messages are accessible. In the 'SMS'menu, confirm the 'Messages received' function with the 'OK'
button, then select the message using button 'M'or 'L' to consult it.

Sending a mini message
Note: Before typing your first message, check that your SMS service centre number i s correctly stored in the submenu
'SMS parameters' .
If it is not correctly stored, any message you have typed before in putting this number will be deleted and not sent.
In the 'SMS' menu, confirm the 'Send new message' function with the 'OK' button.
Input your message with the alphanumerical keypad and confirm it with the 'OK'button, then enter the number of the recip
ient or select it from the list and confirm with the 'OK' button.
Then confirm the 'Send message'or 'Store message' function with the 'OK' button.
For sending multiple messages, the 'Store message'function allows you to reuse an existing message, to delay send ing
a message, to modify a message and to send it with the 'Send the message' function.
Description of menus
'PHONEBOOK'
Find by name: gives you access to a stored name, a telephone number and allow s you to erase information. The search
may be carried out either by scrolling through the list or by inp utting the first letter of the name being searched for and con
firming it.
Find by address: enables you to erase information and gives you access to a stored name and number by inputting the
memory number and confirming it.
New entry: this allows you to add a name and telephone number to the directory.
'SMS'
Received messages: allows you to access the old messages received.
Sending a message: allows you to key in and send short messages.
Stored messages: allows you to access and send old messages.
SMS setting: allows you to allocate to a message the service centre number (supp lied by the network operator), an 'E Mail,
fax or messenger' (network service) type detail, duration of validit y, etc.

Using the alphanumeric keypad
To go from inputting in upper case to inputting in lower case, press and hold one of the keypad buttons numbered 0 to 9.

Selecting a destination
The menu ''Selecting a destina
tion'' offers various ways for reach
ing a destination:
– by inputting an address (country, area...),
– by selecting a service (airport, hotel, restaurant, bank),
– GPS details,
– most recent destinations,
– personal directory,
– professional directory.
General operation
When the details are completed for
one of the above options, you can:
– confirm to start guidance,
– store the address of the destina tion in one of the two directories
(see Paragraph 'Personal/ Profes
sional directory'),
– press the 'ESC' key to finish
inputting modifications. Inputting an address
The last guidance address input is
displayed.
To input a new address, complete
the following details: the country, the
area, the road and the road number.
For each of these, select each letter
using the dial, then confirm each
time.
If an error is made while inputting,
the
'Correct' function allows the last
letter input to be cleared.

Map configuration
This function offers various possibilities to optimise and
enhance the display of the route:
– map orientation,
– type of services displayed,
– selection of scale.
Map orientation
This function allows orientation of the map to be selected:
North or according to the direction of the vehicle.
Note: the "vehicle orientation" option is only active if the
display scale is less than or equal to 1km.
Types of services displayed
This function allows the required service to be displayed.
From the list presented, select the service(s) required (for
insertion), the service(s) not required (for deletion), or
choose 'Any'(parking, hotel, restaurant, service station,
cinema...).
Changing the route
This function allows you, for example, to avoid a tailback
on the route which has been worked out.
Using the 'Navigation/Guidance' context menu, or by
holding down the last voice message recall control, you
can introduce a change to the route that had been worked
out, at any time during guidance.
This change occurs on the stretch between your present
position and a point located at a distance which has to b e
input, using the initial route.
Enter a distance between 1 and 10 km, using the alphanu
meric keypad, then confirm.
The system takes this change into account and suggests
new guidance, having invalidated the section selected. Details of the route
At all times during guidance, the submenu
'Details of the
route' gives you access to the following functions:
– destination selected,
– see the places to be travelled through (display of roads, streets and towns to be passed),
– see the route on the map (change to map display).
A pointer located on the side indicates your position in rela
tion to the route.
Geographical information
The submenu 'Geographical information' presents the
GPS information regarding the position of the vehicle.

Memorising using the buttons
To memorise:
 Place the ignition key in the 'run
ning' position (2nd notch),
 Adjust your seat and mirrors,
 Press button M,then button 1
(first driving position) or button 2
(second driving position) within
four seconds.
An audible signal confirms that a
position has been memorised.
Memorising a new position cancels
the previous one.
Recalling a memorised position
Engine off  Briefly press button 1 or 2to recall
the corresponding memorised
position. The end of the setting is
indicated by a bleep.
Note: after recalling a memorised
position five times in succession, the
function will be cancelled until the
engine is started.
Engine running
 Keep button 1 or 2pressed down
until the bleep indicates the end of
setting of the corresponding
memorised position.
Memorising seat
and mirror positions
Four driving positions can be memo
rised:
– two, using two remote control
keys (two users),
– two, using buttons M/1 and M/2.
Driving positions memorised by
the remote control key
When locking the doors, the remote
control key memorises the position
of the driver's seat and the exterior
mirrors.
When unlocking the doors, the dri
ver's seat and the exterior mirrors
resume the position memorised by
the remote control key if this has
changed in the meantime.
Each remote control key can
memorise a specific setting. Front and rear heated seats
controls
 Press the switch. The tempera
ture is regulated automatically.
 Press it again to stop operation.
Note: the command to activate heat
ing of the seat(s) remains in the
memory for two minutes after the
ignition is switched off.
