Selecting a destination stored in the memory
Using the dial, select the directory in which the address
you are looking for is stored, then press the dial.
The addresses stored in the memory are displayed.
The cursor on the lefthand side of the screen indicates
your position in the list. Make your selection by scrolling
through the list using the dial, then press the dial. The com
plete address is displayed. Select the 'Validate'function,
then press the dial.
If you wish, select a new guidance criterion.
Guidance begins, follow the instructions. Storing an address in a directory.
When a new address is input, you can store it in the mem
ory by selecting the 'Archive' function.
Input the address. If the details already exist for a differe nt
address, you can replace the old address (after removing
it) with a new one.
Select the Personal or Professional directory, then press
the dial. The address is then stored in the directory of your
choice (storage capacity of 100 addresses).

Navigation options
From the main menu, 'Navigation options'gives you
access to the following programmes:
– management of the directories. This allows details of a stored address to be renamed or deleted, by selecting
the directory and the details to be modified,
– voice synthesis volume adjustment, Once the function has been selected, adjust the volume
of the voice synthesis using the dial, the audio system
button or the steering wheel stalk, then confirm.
Note: the voice synthesis volume can also be adjusted
during a message using the audio system button or the
steering wheel stalk.
– deletion of all data stored in both directories. Guidance tools
Access to the
'Guidance tools' menu is by pressing the
dial at any time during guidance.
It enables:
– the current guidance criterion to be changed,
– the programmed destination to be displayed or changed,
– the voice synthesis volume to be adjusted (see ''Navi
gation options'' ' paragraph),
– the current guidance to be stopped.

Updating the software
When you receive the system
update CDROMs:
– eject the mapping CDROM from the drive,
– insert the software CDROM in the drive; after a few seconds the
screen 'management of software
configuration of the system
appears,

– compare the versions installed(System) with those of the CD
Rom in the drive; if the CDROM
version is later than the version
installed, load the CDROM by
confirming "YES",
– when the message "Software Loading End Eject CD" appears,
remove the software CDROM and
insert the mapping CDROM in its
place.
General remarks regarding the display
When using context menus, the
functions are presented in various
ways:
– Function selected (text on coloured background),
– Function accesible (black text),
– Function inaccesible in this situa tion (text on grey background). During offthemap guidance, the
screen displays the following various
information, depending on the
manoeuvres to be carried out:

– Next road to be taken,
2 – Estimated time of arrival,
3 – Remaining distance to be trav
elled,
4 – Diagram of the next crossroads
and direction to be taken,
5 – The direction to your destination,
6 – Street taken,
7 – Symbol showing voice synthesis
status,
8 – Distance remaining before the
next manoeuvre,
9 – GPS status symbol.

Main menu
–Switch on the ignition,
– Place the mapping CDROM in the drive (if absent),
– Press the 'Menu'button to access
the Main menu ,
– Select one of the following applica tions by turning the dial, then con

Selecting a destination
The menu ''Selecting a destina
tion'' offers various ways for reach
ing a destination:
– by inputting an address (country, area...),
– by selecting a service (airport, hotel, restaurant, bank),
– GPS details,
– most recent destinations,
– personal directory,
– professional directory.
General operation
When the details are completed for
one of the above options, you can:
– confirm to start guidance,
– store the address of the destina tion in one of the two directories
(see Paragraph 'Personal/ Profes
sional directory'),
– press the 'ESC' key to finish
inputting modifications. Inputting an address
The last guidance address input is
displayed.
To input a new address, complete
the following details: the country, the
area, the road and the road number.
For each of these, select each letter
using the dial, then confirm each
time.
If an error is made while inputting,
the
'Correct' function allows the last
letter input to be cleared.

Map
The 'Map' context menu offers various possibilities for fol
lowing the route defined by the navigation:
– centering the vehicle,
– journey mode,
– zoom,
– selecting,
– navigation / guidance,
– map configuration,
– stopping / resuming guidance.
The guidance function offers two journey modes:
– manual mode (see 'Movement mode')
– automatic mode (see 'Centering the vehicle' ).Centering the vehicle
This function permits activation of the automatic map
movement mode. The map moves over the screen, follow
ing the direction of the vehicle. Depending on the pro
gramming, the top of the screen represents either the
North or the direction followed by the vehicle.
The vehicle is shown as a symbol in the centre of the
screen.
Movement mode
Press the dial so that the map moves in the direction
shown by the pointer. The pointer is in the centre of the
screen and the map slides underneath it.
Rotating the dial lets you select one of 16 different di
rec
tions (North, N/NE, NE, E/NE, East, E/SE, SE, S/SE,
South etc.).
When moving, it is possible to change the direction select
ed.
Zoom
This function allows the scale of the map displayed to be
enlarged or reduced.
Selecting
This function opens the screen which allows selection of
the destination on the map.
It enables guidance towards this destination to be activate d.
Navigation / guidance
This function allows you to return to the 'Navigation/
Guidance' application off the map.

Map configuration
This function offers various possibilities to optimise and
enhance the display of the route:
– map orientation,
– type of services displayed,
– selection of scale.
Map orientation
This function allows orientation of the map to be selected:
North or according to the direction of the vehicle.
Note: the "vehicle orientation" option is only active if the
display scale is less than or equal to 1km.
Types of services displayed
This function allows the required service to be displayed.
From the list presented, select the service(s) required (for
insertion), the service(s) not required (for deletion), or
choose 'Any'(parking, hotel, restaurant, service station,
cinema...).
Changing the route
This function allows you, for example, to avoid a tailback
on the route which has been worked out.
Using the 'Navigation/Guidance' context menu, or by
holding down the last voice message recall control, you
can introduce a change to the route that had been worked
out, at any time during guidance.
This change occurs on the stretch between your present
position and a point located at a distance which has to b e
input, using the initial route.
Enter a distance between 1 and 10 km, using the alphanu
meric keypad, then confirm.
The system takes this change into account and suggests
new guidance, having invalidated the section selected. Details of the route
At all times during guidance, the submenu
'Details of the
route' gives you access to the following functions:
– destination selected,
– see the places to be travelled through (display of roads, streets and towns to be passed),
– see the route on the map (change to map display).
A pointer located on the side indicates your position in rela
tion to the route.
Geographical information
The submenu 'Geographical information' presents the
GPS information regarding the position of the vehicle.

 Press the corresponding top and
bottom arrows to adjust.

 Press the 'AUTO'button(s).
The system adjusts automatically to
the required value .
It also controls the air distribution,
flow and intake so that there is suffi
cient air circulation in the passenger
compartment.
The air flow (fan) symbol and the
'AUTO' symbols are displayed.
Note: when programme 5or function
11 (following pages) are being used,
the 'AUTO' passenger button does
not operate; it causes temporary
flashing of button 5or 11 indicator
light.
AUTOMATIC AIR CONDITIONING
Located on the centre console, the control panel is between
the multifunction
display and the audio system.
The driver and front passenger can each adjust the temperature a nd the air dis
tribution, to suit their requirements.
Do not cover the sunshine / brightness sensor located i n the centre of the
fascia. It helps to regulate the air conditioning, automati c switching on of
the lights and the automatic adjustment of the instrument pane l bright
ness.

the system, by manually modifying a
setting.
 Pressing the 'AUTO'driver or
passenger button enables you to
return to the corresponding auto
matic operation.

 Pressing the dri
ver's or passenger's
button several times in
succession allows you to position the
air flow on the driver's or passen
ger's side, towards:
– the windscreen and the feet,
– the feet,
– the centre vent, the side ventand the feet,
– the centre vent and the side vent,
– the windscreen. Note:
when programme 5(following
page) is being used, button 7does
not operate; it causes temporary
flashing of the button 5indicator
light.
8 Air conditioning (A/C) on/off
 Press this button
once to stop the air
conditioning.
The symbol 'A/C'goes out.
 Press this button again to return to
automatic air conditioning.
The symbol 'A/C' comes on.
5 Visibility
programme
In certain cases, the
comfort programme
may prove inadequate
to demist or deice the
windows (humidity,
many passengers, ice).
 In this situation, select the visibili
ty programme for rapid clearing of
the windows.
It manages the air conditioning and
the air flow and intake and distrib
utes the ventilation towards the
windscreen and the side windows.
The symbols 'A/C', 'AUTO' and air
flow (fan) are displayed.
Note: for your comfort, between two
starting operations the settings are
retained if the temperature of the
passenger compartment has not var
ied a great deal. If it has, automatic
mode is used.

Flashing of the points in
the temperature setting
values indicates that
there is a malfunction of
the air conditioning. Contact your
Peugeot dealer.
11 Air intake/Recir
culation
 Press this button to
recirculate the inte
rior air.
Recirculation insulates
the passenger com
partment from outside smells and
smoke.
Avoid prolonged operation of inte
rior air recirculation (risk of con
densation and deterioration of air
quality).
 Press this button again to return
air intake to automatic control.

12 Demisting the
rear screen
 Press this button,
with the engine
running, to demist
the rear screen and
the mirrors.
Demisting stops automatically after
fifteen minutes.  Press again to resume demisting.
If the engine is switched off before
the end of the fifteen minutes,
demisting will resume when the
engine is switched on again.
Note: it is possible to stop demisting
before it goes off automatically, by
pressing the button again.
Note: the condensation created by
the air conditioning system causes a
flow of water under the vehicle when
stationary, which is perfectly normal.9 Switching off the system
 Press the 'OFF'
button.
This action switches
off the display and the
indicator lights and disarms all the
system functions, with the exception
of demisting of the rear screen.
 Press this button, button 5or one
of the two 'AUTO' buttons again to
reactivate the system with the val
ues which were present before it
was switched off.
10 Air flow Press buttons '+'
and ''respectively
to increase or
decrease the air
flow.
As the air flow is
adjusted, the inner sections of the air
flow symbol (fan) are filled in accord
ingly on the
display.
