SERVICE INDICATOR
T h i s i s a v i s u a l r e m i n d e r o f w h e n t h e
n e x t s e r v i c e i s d u e . T h i s s e r v i c e i s t o
be carried out according to the manu-
f a c t u r e r ' s s e r v i c i n g s c h e d u l e .
T h e p o i n t a t w h i c h t h e s e r v i c e i s d u e i s
calculated from the last indicator zero
reset. It is determined by two param-
eters:
- t h e d i s t a n c e t r a v e l l e d ,
- the time elapsed since the last s e r v i c e .
Note: the distance remaining before
t h e n e x t s e r v i c e i s d u e m a y b e w e i g h t -
ed by the time factor.
T h e s e r v i c e i n f o r m a t i o n a p p e a r s o n
the display, located in the speedo-me-
ter dial, at the same time as the en-
g i n e o i l l e v e l o n t h e i n s t r u m e n t p a n e l
display.
Operation
As soon as the ignition is switched on
and for 7 seconds, the spanner sym-
b o l i s i n g t h e s e r v i c i n g o p e r a t i o n s i s l i t .
The trip recorder display shows the
d i s t a n c e r e m a i n i n g ( i n r o u n d fi g u r e s )
b e f o r e t h e n e x t s e r v i c e .
Example: 4 , 8 0 0 m i l e s / k m r e m a i n b e -
f o r e t h e n e x t s e r v i c e i s d u e . W h e n t h e
ignition comes on and for 7 seconds
the display indicates:
7 seconds after the ignition is switched
on, the total distance recorder resumes
normal operation and the display
shows the total and trip distances.
The distance remaining before the
next service is less than 500 miles
(1,000 km).
Each time the ignition is switched on
and for 7 seconds, the spanner and
t h e d i s t a n c e fl a s h .
Example: 900 miles/km remain before
t h e n e x t s e r v i c e i s d u e .
When switching on the ignition and for
7 seconds, the display shows:
7 seconds after the ignition is switched
on, the total distance recorder resumes
normal operation and the spanner re-
mains lit.
T h i s i n d i c a t e s t h a t a s e r v i c e s h o u l d b e
carried out shortly. The display shows
the total and trip distances.

Trip recorder zero reset button
Lighting rheostat button
With the ignition on, press the button
until the zeros appear.
With the headlamps on, press button B to
increase the brightness of the lighting of
the instruments and controls or button A to
reduce it.
As soon as the lighting reaches the required
l e v e l o f b r i g h t n e s s , r e l e a s e t h e b u t t o n .
7 seconds after the ignition is switched
on, the total distance recorder resumes
normal operation and the spanner re-
mains lit. The display shows the total
and trip distances.
Note: the spanner may also be lit if the
t w o - y e a r i n t e r v a l h a s b e e n e x c e e d e d .
Service indicator zero re-set
The service is overdue.
Each time the ignition is switched on
and for 7 seconds, the spanner and
t h e e x c e s s d i s t a n c e fl a s h .

3 0 0 m i l e s / k m . T h e s e r v i c e s h o u l d b e
c a r r i e d o u t v e r y s h o r t l y .
When the ignition is switched on and
for 7 seconds, the display shows:

H o w e v e r , i f y o u c a r r y o u t t h e s e r v i c e
yourself, the re-set procedure is as fol-
lows:
Switch off the ignition,
Press and hold the trip recorder re-
set button,
Switch on the ignition.
The display begins a countdown.
When the display shows "=0" , release
the button; the spanner disappears.
After this operation, if you wish
to disconnect the battery, lock
t h e v e h i c l e a n d w a i t f o r a t l e a s t
fi v e m i n u t e s , o t h e r w i s e t h e z e r o
re-set will not be registered.

Distance remaining to be travelled (km or miles)
This is the distance remaining to be
t r a v e l l e d t o t h e fi n a l d e s t i n a t i o n . I t i s
e i t h e r c a l c u l a t e d b y t h e n a v i g a t i o n
s y s t e m i f g u i d a n c e i s a c t i v a t e d o r e n -
tered by the user.
If the distance is not entered, dashes
are displayed in place of the digits.
Average speed (km/h or mph)
T h i s i s t h e a v e r a g e s p e e d c a l c u l a t e d
since the computer was last set to
zero (with the ignition on). The routes
"1" and "2" are independ-
e n t b u t h a v e i d e n t i c a l a p p l i c a t i o n .
Route "1" for example allows you to
make daily calculations and route "2"
monthly calculations.
The routes
Zero reset
When the required route is displayed,
press the end of the wipers stalk for
more than two seconds.
Access via the general menu

"TRIP" menu
Press the "MENU" or "TRIP" button
to gain access to the general menu.
Select the "Trip computer" applica-
t i o n u s i n g t h e n a v i g a t o r , t h e n c o n fi r m .
T h e " T r i p c o m p u t e r " m e n u o f f e r s v a r i o u s
options:
- Inputting of the distance to be t r a v e l l e d ,
- Warnings log,
- Status of the functions.
