The satellite navigation system guides you, by means of
(graphics), to
your chosen destination. The heart of the system lies in the use of a map data base and !
"# ! $ % &'( . With
this system you can fix the positionof your vehicle by means of a satel-lite network. The system uses the following ele- ments:
– the CD-Rom drive,
– the configuration CD-Rom,
– the navigation CD-Rom,
– the last voice message recall con- trol,
– the control keypad,
– the CT monochrome display or the DT colour screen.

This is part of the RT3 radio/telephone. ,-
CD-Rom ejection button.
.- CD-Rom housing.
)&$*+'This contains all the map data. It must be inserted in the drive, printed face upwards.
Use only CD-Roms approved by PEUGEOT.
)& &'& $&& Pressing for more than two seconds on the button at the end of the lights stalk repeats the last voice information.
Certain functions or services
described may vary depending on the version of the CD-Rom or the
country where the vehicle is sold.
For safety reasons, the inputting of navigationinformation by the drivermust be carried out when
the vehicle is stationary.

To be effective, a seat belt must be tightened asclose to the body as pos-sible.
If the seats are fitted with arm-rests, the lap section of the seatbelt must always pass under thearmrest. Sitting with your back to the road while the vehicle is moving is pro-hibited. Depending on the nature and the seriousness of the impact, the pre-tensioners may be triggeredbefore and independently of the airbags. In all cases, the air bag warning light comes on. Following a collision, have the system checked by a PEUGEOT
dealer. The system has been designed to be fully operational for ten years.
For greater safety, have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer after thisperiod.

. After the engine has stopped, with the key in the accessories position,
certain functions (windscreen wiper, electric windows, courtesy lights, audio equipment etc.) can only beused for thirty minutes, to prevent
discharging the battery.
Once the thirty minutes are over, the message
/''&0 &'$ 1/
appears on the multifunction displayand the active functions are put on
standby.
A flat battery will prevent the engine from starting.

Only use original PEUGEOT tow bars which have been tested andapproved from the design stage ofyour vehicle. The tow bar must be fitted by a
PEUGEOT dealer.

%"#)''('$%2 distribute the
load in the trailer so that the heaviest loads are as close as possible to theaxle and the nose weight is close tothe maximum authorised without,
however, exceeding it. ''2 towing a trailer on a slope
increases the coolant temperature. As the fan is electronically controlled, its cooling capacity is not dependenton the engine speed.
On the contrary, use a high gear to lower the engine speed, and reduceyour speed. In all cases, pay attention to the coolant temperature. '2
in certain cases of particularly
arduous use (towing the maximumload up a steep slope in high tem-peratures), the engine automatically
limits its power. In this case, cutting
off the air conditioning allows theengine power to be recovered, andtherefore the towing speed to be sig-nificantly increased (approximately12 mph [20 km/h] more). If the coolant temperature warning light comes on, stop the vehicle and
switch off the engine as soon as pos-sible.
0"%2 check the tyre pressures of the
towing vehicle and of the trailer, observing the recommended pressure. "+%2 towing increases the brak-
ing distance. Drive at a moderate speed, change down early and brake
gradually.
$ $2 sensitivity to side wind is
increased. Drive smoothly and at a moderate speed.
)$9)%&Adjust your headlamps so as not to dazzle other road users (see sectionon ''Manual adjustment of head-lamps''). Check the electrical sig-
nalling of the trailer.
)'&#&'""' For vehicles with Xenon bulbs, this system automatically corrects theheight of the beam, whatever the
load of the vehicle. The driver is thenassured of having optimum lightingand not causing a nuisance to otherroad users.
